God I hate Fox & Friends. nothin but a mouth piece for Bush.

CNN and NBC are also propoganda outlets. If Democrats don't appreciate the damage those two networks do, then we are in deep trouble.

15. It was a B team guy ...
I know how this stuff works from dabbling in sports writing when I was first out of college ... I was helping out for the Summer Football special at our paper, and was supposed to do a specialty piece on the Steelers while they were in camp ... I tried to talk to Chuck Noll, I had spent two full days laying out a really well thought out interview, and he just toyed with me because I was a nobody ...

Different thing, but Levin layed the wood to this chump because he is one of Fox's B teamers ... It was nice and all, but they have to start banging ALL the MSM whore around like that ... Don't hold back ...

16. Faux News has an agenda
and that is to take all Dems to the woodshed in the guise of an "interview," when really the gist of the conversation is not particularly skillfully skewed to reiterate their own talking points as faxed to them by Karl Rove and the White House every A.M.

Jon Stewart has a knack of pulling out the buzzphrase de jour, playing them back to back, punctuating the fact that Faux News is, in fact, nothing more than an arm of this White House.

Ps: Welcome to DU.

19. He was just trying to get his Faux chops
If you remember from Greenwald's Outfoxed, one of the former Fox reporters he interviewed said that management looked very kindly on any intance where a Fox anchor or reporter took a pot shot at a liberal or Democrat. This B-Teamer just wanted some kudos and probably has aspirations of being O'Reilly some day. He doesn't want to be a newsman, he wants to be a Fox man.

I agree with your post. I think that it is worth the time of Dems to go on FOX if they can respond as forcefully as Sen. Levin -- or even moreso. Gen. Clark does yeoman's duty by appearing on FOX and providing just a little light to the dark lives of FOX cultists.

Fox-Jazeera Channel. Give it right back to them everytime.

Apparently, there is a "Whopper of the Day" prize in the backroom somewhere which Ailes hands out at the end of the day to the anchor who tells the biggest lie during the workday.

hypocrites are so used to propping up Shrub and his ilk -- when someone actually shines the light of reality on them -- it's as though they've received a bucket of cold water in the face.

That cheap, trashy Edie and the smug punk Steve (whatever his name is) are a really sorry bunch. I catch this show every now and again and it is soooooooooooo stale.

12. Don't forget CNN!
MEDIA MATTERS TO CNN: STOP BUNGLING COVERAGE

”In recent days, CNN has taken the lead in one-sided coverage of the Iraq war debate in Congress. The cable network has swallowed hook, line, and sinker -- against all evidence -- Republicans' claims that the issue is a political winner for them.

Incredibly, CNN seems to agree that the public is on the side of the Republican "plan" to stay in Iraq indefinitely -- at least as long as George W. Bush is president, so that his successor inherits the problem. But CNN knows from its own polling that the public does not favor the Republican "plan." CNN knows that Democrats are speaking for the majority of Americans, who think it's time to start planning for withdrawal. So why is CNN reporting the story as though it were reading a Karl Rove press release?

* On June 20, CNN's Paula Zahn seemed to be channeling the Republican National Committee when she claimed that the Democratic Party is "getting creamed as the party of cut-and-runners, the wobbly, the weak."

* On June 21, CNN's Dana Bash not only mischaracterized the Democrats' debate on troop redeployment, she also falsely suggested that Democrats stand to lose politically for urging a timeline for withdrawal when, in fact, a CNN poll showed that 53 percent of respondents favored a timetable for withdrawal.

It is SO wonderful to finally see Democrats go toe to toe with these jerks. Katrina Vanden Houvel bested that slobbering pit bull Peter King, and with class, and Rep. Markey was pretty feisty against King on Hardball tonight. Feingold running circles around Russert, Clark calling in to Hanutty's radio show to STAND UP FOR THE TRUTH (can't remember which twisted lie it was this time), and on his free time, no less. Not to mention his brave forays into enemy territory. It is so appreciated! Please, lurking political people, please tell them they need to continue, get in their faces and tell them to PLEASE STAND UP FOR US and THE TRUTH. Get the last word in, don't let them talk over you, let no lie go uncorrected! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

But why go on "Fox & Friends". It makes Katie Couric and the Today Show look like the brainiac hour.

I could listen to falafel boy for hours and not lose nearly as many brain cells as I have watching those idiots for five minutes.

Democrats should waste time elsewhere on Faux.

18. That Foxbot, whoever he is, is sickening.
I've never seen this show, so I don't know who the Bushbot "interviewing" Levin is, but wow, what a jerk. Look at him! You can tell he's a jerk the second you see him, before he even says anything. Then he starts talking and proves it.

I think a few months of Democrats making perfect sense while speaking to arrogant, air-headed right-wing jerks like this one will gradually improve the public's perception of the D's.

24. We here in Michigan know Levin well
and lemme tell ya, he don't take NO SHIT! I love to see him take questions from a crowd. He's always respectful and when someone decides to use their opportunity to whine or pontificate instead of ask a question, they get shut down in short order.

And, FYI, at the MI Dem convention in 04 he gave the greatest Ass-Kickin' speech I've ever seen.

There's a reason the GOP doesn't even bother to come up with anything more than a sacrificial lamb to run when Levin's up for re-election. He's a Senator from MI for as long as he wants it.

26. I actually witnessed this live, yesterday morning while channel surfing
I stopped, not because it was Fox News (ewww), but literally because I thought to myself... why is this news anchor so angry. I then proceeded to watch him thoroughly take GWB's "side" to the point of complete loss of objectivity (I know, Fox News, whats new), but to watch him get so angry at a Dem that would not back down was actually good entertainment.

He literally could not handle the truth. He would not answer Levin's question about why the Republicans call Dem's "Cut and Runners" when General Casey has recommended troop reductions.

27. Journalism 101
Mr. Kilmeade, I'm afraid you've failed this class and need some remedial work. Please memorize the following definitions:

Interview: When the journalist asks questions and the interviewee answers them. The questions may be pointed or controversial; they may even make the guest uncomfortable. But they should not be ad hominem, poisoning the well or any other kind of fallacious or misleading question. The purpose of an interview is to elicit responses from the guest. An interview either allows the guest to state his or her position, or it gets questions answered.

Debate: When two or more people discuss an issue, using rules of argumentation to present a position in an attempt to persuade each other or the audience.

Politeness: The normal level of respect one person owes another, unless that person is guilty of grievous faults against the individual or state. Even if a person is not a U.S. Senator, an interviewer is required to extend common courtesy.

Rudeness: Your behavior.

Sycophantic attack dog: A synonym for Kilmeade and Fox News.

They listen to Rush and other rightwing hosts in their cars coming to and from work, they listen to the right-wing hosts at Fox, and they read the talking points from Rove and at the end of the day they go home to their ivory towers and live comfortably.
