who is talking about the wmd's found, sarin gas, saying that they have found this and using as evidence of wmd found in Iraq. Please give me some things to say.

All of this is "old" news, reported on by the Iraq Survey Team years ago.

None of these weapons were in an inventory or stockpile, none were maintained, all appeared to have lost whatever chemical agents that were once stored there, they are likely leftovers from the Iraq/Iran war and were simply lost or discarded.

They never posed a threat to the US or our invading troops, they were not used against us in the invasion, nor by the subsequent insurgency. If Iraq HAD WMDs, even ones that might be degraded, the Iraqi army or the insurgency would have used them by now.

This is just a desperate attempt by Santorum to make people in his state afraid and to vote for him rather than a "cut and run" dem. It's not going to work.

That Sarin was old, it was left over from the 1980s I believe. And Bush never once mentioned that he was looking for old weapons.

there. Recently Santorum claimed WMDs had been found, but no one, including the state dept, is backing that contention up. Santorum is desperate, way down in the polls, and up for reelection.

Ask why Bush has not held a major press conference, trumpteting this bombshell news.

Ask why Bush himself never says any of these things.

Anytime someone claims "They found WMDs" I immediately ask for a link to Bush's announcement of the fact.

Then, after they come up empty, say "Well,if Bush is not announcing this seemingly important news, then there must be nothing to it."

18. Quick facts about Sarin and other relevant things.

Sarin, under the best of conditions is potent for a very short time (weeks to months). Sarin buried in the desert for 20 years is not optimum conditions and this was essentially just toxic sludge, not WMD.

Munitions are found throughout any country that has had a war or military build-up of any sort.

Not too long ago, on a US base near Washington, biologic weapons were found buried when they were doing construction. Does this mean the US is in violation of treaties to not develop biological weapons?

These were not the weapons we went to war for. These were merely left over munitions from the Iran-Iraq war (and we supported Iraq at the time those weapons were buried) and like any warzone, they were buried and forgotten.
