Amusing Lynn Swann fundraiser story
http://janetcharltonshollywood.com/index.php?page=2

This story is just too funny not to tell. This weekend a very exclusive fund raising dinner for 35 was held at a Brentwood home for Republican Lynn Swann who's running for governor of Pennsylvania. (He's the former football star.) The host of this ultra pricey dinner is a close friend of our president and he's divorced, so he ordered up a call girl to be his date. The party was seated at dinner when the Asian "escort" arrived and she sat down and started licking the hosts ear! The host told her to knock it off and shortly after, she slid under the table and started thrashing about and kicking and screaming incoherantly having some sort of convulsive drug induced fit! Diners leaped up from their chairs and she pulled the tablecloth off and crashing dishes flew everywhere. 911 was called and tablemates tried to calm her by now her kicking and writhing revealed she wore no underpants, was covered with purple bruises, and she was foaming at the mouth. Horrified diners tried not to look as paramedics carted her off. The host was nonplussed as the table was being reset he simply told the shaken waiter " I had the salmon." The dinner raised a million dollars for Swann.

1. Ah. Republican traditional family values
It keeps getting funnier and more absurd as the republicans show they know how to talk about family values but not live them. Hilarious.

3. That's gonna go over real well in Central PA
Well, if somebody decides to let the cat out of the bag, that is.

The Christian morality there is wall-to-wall and as thick as scum under a toilet.

Brentwood, huh? That's a little bit west of Shamokin, if my sense of direction is intact.

7. Brentwood - is OJ from Brentwood

Perhaps OJ is having a fundraiser for his friend Lynn Swann?

14. Yep. It's the same Brentwood.
Lots of rich people. Fortunately, not all of them are RW jerks, but there are still enough that can drop a mil on any dumb-as-rocks Republican tool they want.

I'm sure you're keeping track of the polls, especially the Quinnipiac. Swann's going to need a LOT of help from Diebold to win this one.

4. I'd love to wager that it never happened
More than two weeks old and no mentions elsewhere. I was almost buying it until, "I had the salmon."

5. I believe every negative story about Republicans.
Because the truth is usually much, much worse.

6. Why would someone running for PA governor be having a
fund raiser in California?

8. that's far from the least believable part
I'm sure Lynn Swann knows plenty of rich people and some of them live in California. It's not unusual. I know Florida statewide candidates who have had fundraisers in New York.

10. Brentwood, PA
It is in the south hills of Pittsbugh, near the Century III Mall. Actually, Brentwood has some very upscale neighborhoods.

11. Gottcha. This makes sense. Seems to me that if you were
raising money in other states the opposition would use that against you.

12. Nope. Brentwood in Los Angeles
Let me start by saying I don't believe the story. But it clearly is supposed to have taken place in the Brentwood section of LA. How do we know this? First, because the "source" is a Hollywood gossip columnist who wouldn't be writing about it if it had happened in PA. Second, because Swann lived in Brentwood (LA) and has had other fundraisers there. https://www.donationreport.com/init/controller/ProcessEntryCmd?key=I1Y8R9R2M9

And I doubt the fact that Swann holds out of state fundraisers will become an issue, since members of both parties do this sort of thing with great regularity.

13. Okay...
Brentwood, CA would be a source of big bucks. And you are correct: both parties access the ATMs in CA and NYC no matter where they're from.

17. That does suck
I interviewed Ronnie several times for the 'SC school newspaper and he was the most impressive person among all the athletes I met there. I would guessed he was a Democrat.
