What's the difference between the Bush administration's...
"adjustable partial troop withdrawal schedule" and John Murtha's "phased deployment of the troops"? Is it just Republican spin?

Is that ALL that this adminsitration can do now? ..."spin words"?

OMG...and now Karen Hughes has dubbed the next Afghanistan confrontation "Operation Mountain Thrust"!

(I think I just answered my own question.)

2. That's probably how Afghans see it.
They've been fucked, pretty much, throughout history.

Bundled into containers, the lucky ones were shot within minutes. The rest suffered an appalling road trip lasting up to four days, clawing at the skin of their fellow prisoners as they licked perspiration and even drank blood from open wounds.

Dasht-i-Leili
Jamie Doran & Andy Mc Entee at Dasht-i-Leili

Up to 3,000 now lie buried in a mass grave, but this was NOT a simple matter of Afghans killing Afghans.

‘AFGHAN MASSACRE – the convoy of DEATH’ tells of how American special forces took control of the operation, re-directed the containers carrying the living and dead into the desert and stood by as survivors were shot and buried.

And it details how the Pentagon lied to the world in order to cover up its role in the greatest atrocity of the entire Afghan War. This is the documentary they did not want you to see.

‘AFGHAN MASSACRE – the convoy of DEATH’ was produced over ten months in extremely dangerous circumstances: eyewitnesses were threatened, the film crew went into hiding and our researcher was savagely beaten to within an inch of his life.

4. I've seen it and have never understood why this hasn't been...
...made public, on a par with Guantnamo and Abu Ghraib.

5. It's amazing how we played one side against the other in
Afghanistan and then made a complete reversal.... our treachery knows no bounds in this arena.

6. Republicans called this "Cut and Run" when Murtha proposed it
Now, the news media is acting as if this is an original idea coming from the republicans. They just changed the name to "timetable." As always, it takes the democrats to straighten things out after Bush
screws up. :+ :+ :+ :+   This is really very funny when you think about it.

Thanks John Murtha and John Kerry, and others who honestly care about the troops, and not just their
political points.....

8. The media is trying so hard to spin it as "different"
On CNN this morning the slant of the story is why this is different than what the democrats called for because it is contingent on the status of Iraq improving.

I just have to laugh that last week the whole of the republicans in the senate labeled withdrawal as surrender / cut and run / cowardly / not willing to stay for the last bullet...so do those definitions apply to General Casey?

spin media spin. I wonder how often the CNN O'Briens are coached by dead-eye before they go on the air.
