They're Not Going To Get Away With It This Year; Not If I Have Any Say

"The total number of forces that could possibly be withdrawn under this plan would be larger than the 28,000 combat forces because as the number of combat troops is reduced, an undetermined number of support elements could also be withdrawn."

So, the general in charge is announcing large troop reductions...

umm...

WHAT?

I thought we (USA) weren't going to CUT & RUN like the "cowards" Murth & Kerry suggested?

Oh but wait, they're not only going to cut our losses & get the hell out of dodge just in time for the election as many of us have predicted --- but Bushco. has been out there for months repeating their same old mantra - "we're in this til the end, we're not cutting and running as the Democrats want!", pounding that "patriotic" war drum knowing full well they were going to bring troops home before the election - so hey, Rover thought, lets keep acting like were tough and they're cut & run cowards - so, is this another Rover coup?

He may think so...

But, I personally can't wait to sink my teeth into anyone's ass that starts saying we're the party of cut & run, when their beloved leaders are running as fast and as hard away from the war as possible, and bringing as many troops home as they can while still leaving about half behind for another year and hoping that the influx of happy stories and FOX specials of the reunions will be enough to save their asses ---

WE ARE THE ONES WHO'VE SCREAMED FOR TROOP REDUCTION IN THOUSANDS OF EMAILS & PHONE CALLS & PEOPLE LIKE CINDY SHEEHAN HAVE BEEN PROTESTING AROUND THE WORLD - AND TO HELL IF THEY'RE GOING TO CLAIM THEY'RE NOT DOING EXACTLY WHAT THEY ACCUSED US OF DOING - CUTTING & RUNNING!

We have a huge leg to stand on friends. This is huge news, and is a huge pick me up to the pro-peace movement, and an admission by the Bush administration that they know to have a chance to save their control they have to pull the troops back. To me that is a huge admission of FAILURE because isn't safe enough to be doing this ------

Mr. Bush, your legacy is established - pro-corporate fraud, ingoring tragedies in the US & the globe, and going to war over bad intelligence and deceiving the public, and having to swallow your words of ending the war, "it's not up to me, it's up to another president", when by the end of your administration it'll be over. You've killed thousands of people and for what? A bigger mess than the one you started with!

What a pathetic man he is. I'm so glad I'm not related to him. I'd have to change my last name.

BRING 'EM HOME! IT'S ABOUT TIME!

8. Americans will see this as the beginning of the end of the war.
Its going to be difficult for any dem to appear on a Sunday morning talk show and say this development is a "bad thing" without looking bitter and self-serving.

We will find out this am.

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/25/world/middleeast/25military.html?_r=1&th&emc=th&oref=slogin

Published: June 25, 2006 NY Times
WASHINGTON, June 24 — The top American commander in Iraq has drafted a plan that projects sharp reductions in the United States military presence there by the end of 2007, with the first cuts coming this September (what a surprise), American officials say.

And who is cutting and running????????

While Rome burns in Iraq the flag ship is going down quickly!
