Republicans want voters to "stay the course" on everything...
Edited on Sat Jun-24-06 10:20 PM by kentuck
Not just the disastrous and unnecessary Iraq War, but also on the economy, the debt, the deficits, the lies, the spying, taxes, everything. They want to "stay the course". But, not only in Iraq, but on every issue we need to change course. We do need a new direction. Whether or not the people wish to "stay the course" with the Republican agenda is yet to be seen. Not only do most people in the polls want a change in the policy in Iraq, but they think America is on the wrong track with the Republican agenda. Every American, Republicans included, would be wise to think long and hard before they agree to "stay the course" any longer. We cannot afford these radical Republicans.

Would this not be a workable strategy to defuse the Republican plan to "wimpinize" the Democrats with the "cut and run" label? On every issue, the Democrats can say that the Republicans want to "stay the course. On taxcuts, on deficits, on immigration, every issue the Republicans want to stay the course. If they were to use that phrase with other issues besides Iraq, people would eventually connect it to Iraq in a negative way also. If handled properly with the "stay the course" attacks, the Democrats could make the Repubs rue the day they tried their latest gimmick.

1. Repubs: "OK So we have no ideas..."
But we must stay the course until we stumble accross something otherwise we might get the Dems. in power. Remember life under them? Robust economic growth, rising tide lifting all, no terror attacks, peace and the US respected? Do you really want to go back to that!?!?!

2. Stay the course
Republicans are a greedy lot. They just couldn't stand the sight of a Middle Class making good wages at good jobs. Pensions to retire on along with Social Security. Under our last elected Prez even the poor were doing good. Now we have a society where there are more poor than ever and the Middle Class is shrinking daily. It will take a legally elected Dem many years to clean up this mess the Republicans and their puppet have created.

9. Look in the mirror
I'm stupid.....LOL

I shotdown all of your lies and provided proof to rebutt it all, and you tell me I'm the stupid one. Some of you liberals live in your own little fantasy world. You ignore reality due to your blind allegience to a failed political ideology.

7. Aren't you forgetting a few attacks under Bush?
Edited on Sat Jun-24-06 11:56 PM by kentuck
Clinton found those that bombed the WTC in 1993, just 2 or 3 months after he took office? Was that Bush Sr's fault? They are now in jail. Timothy McVey, the OK City bomber was put to death. Where is Osama bin Laden? Why was your President asleep at the wheel on 9/11? He was warned. Why did he ignore it? Why did he lie to get us involved in Iraq? Why do still stand behind him? Aren't you just a little foolish? Or do you support the war in Iraq? Do you think Iraq and the world is a better place now? And you think we are going to have democracy in the Middle East? Why didn't Bush go after the people that bombed the USS Cole. That happened with only a month or two left in the Clinton Administration? Did he think he had no responsibility since that happened on Clinton's watch? And let's not forget those 243 Marines killed under Reagan in Beirut? Please explain?

12. I didn't even mention the plane the Chinese forced down...
in the early weeks of the Bush Adminsitration and we had to beg the Russians to return it to us in pieces - a spy plane. That wasn't embarrassing? Almost as embarrassing as the submarine that came out of the water with the Enron folks at the helm and killing all those Japanese students? Remember? :)

16. I don't fight unarmed morans...
Now go home. Your arguments are silly and have been shot down a thousand times here and nobody has the patience to go over them one more time with one more asshole. You are destroying our country and we have no sympathy for your lying leader or the kool-aid drinkers that follow him. I bet you think you had a real strong argument, didn't you. Well, you don't. If reality is going to do any slapping, I would suggest you put on your helmet.

18. HEY FREEPERS - STAY THE COURSE
Stay the course for more rising gas prices.

Stay the course with 1.4 billion dollars a year in budget and current account deficits.

Stay the course in tax giveaways to millionaires and billionaires.

Stay the course with rising health care prices.

Stay the course with millions of American jobs being shipped out of the country.

Stay the course with increased illegal immigration.

Stay the course for more rising prices with food, energy, and housing.

Stay the course in a war that has killed tens of thousands and will eventually cost taxpayers over a trillion dollars.

Stay the course with failing pension plans and corporate corruption and looting.

Stay the course with increased pollution of our air and water.

Stay the course with incompetent Bush appointees. "You're doing a heckuva' job Brownie."

Stay the course with a president who says, "The question is rarely asked: Is our children learning."

Stay the course with fascist policies such as Patriot Acts and NSA spying on innocent American civilians.

Stay the course for a falling standard of living for the middle class and working poor.

Stay the course for more homeless and abandoned veterans.

Stay the course for reduced education benefits and failed policies such as No Child Left Behind.

Stay the course with a president that has never used his veto.

Stay the course with a party that has increased federal spending by over a TRILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR.

Stay the course with a party and president that is universally hated by those outside the United States.

Stay the course with your cowards, draft-dodgers, and chickenhawks. One day you will wreck and run off the course. Then it's your turn in the barrel.
