From L'Affair Leopold to Miami Jihad it all stinks of Kkkarl. What we have seen over the last few weeks is the format of the 06 midterm campaign.

The problem has been identified: the american public is dangerously close to realizing that they have been swindled, horn-swoggled, bamboozled, and taken for a ride. The whole vile warnterra is in jeopardy, and with it the serious possibility of long stays in federal penitentiaries for the entire cabal, not just our recently un-indicted Mr. Rove, now exists. Neither house can be allowed to fall to the opposition party, even an opposition party as lame and compromised as the Democratic Party.

They have committed high crimes and misdemeanors, they have committed treason, and they are not about to let some damn fool election bring them down. The are Straussians: lies and deception are necessary to control the masses. Everything they do, no matter how vile, is for the greater good of their elitist world vision.

There are no restrictions on what they will do, no depth limit on the depravity that they will sink to. This is not even July. The campaign has just started to pick up steam. We are just witnessing the opening moves.

There is a whole other world view that we cannot really even fathom where everything that has happened in the last six years is comfortably accounted for. In that world view 'liberals' and 'progressives' are just barely distinguishable from 'terrorists', and we are the only reason why the infamous Mission is still not Accomplished.


There are two (at least) americas, and I am not talking about John Edward's populist message here, I am talking about two completely separate realities coexisting, very uneasily, within our nation.

to my journalist brother: nobody reads the damn newspapers. If it aint on tv it didn't happen. That was true when abbie figured it out in the 60's and it is even more true now. The discourse in the newspapers is relevant only to a small subset of the population.

This is what Rove et al is afraid of. They are afraid of what will happen when Repugs like Senator Pat "cover-up" Roberts lose their committee chairs and can no longer protect the Bush admin.

They cannot risk Democrats having subpoena power.
