Any DUers have link to Ann Coulter's appearances? I am organizing an

effort to get Rabbi Michael Lerner, founder of the Network of Spiritual Progressives movement, on the tv and radio programs where she has been a guest. He agreed to appear on these shows but doesn't have the staff to organize it, so I'm doing it. But I haven't been able to find a list of the shows she's been on, even on her (gag me) website.

Lerner's recent book "The Left Hand of God: Taking Back Our Country from the Religious Right" addresses squarely and persuasively her contentions, his point being that whether religious, spiritual or neither, the Left's values are based on truly moral values (compassion, ecological sanity, human rights, etc). He's a great speaker and it would be great to smack her down so resoundingly!

Also, if anyone has any ideas for how to best position any letters I write so that they get the attention they deserve, please share 'em!

5. But it's not on the 'godless' issue, which is impt to the "middle" voters.

I'm convinced we can up our chances of winning significantly if we talk to the middle about what's meaningful to them, and "values" are important to them. It's just unfortunate that the wingnuts 'own' the values issue in the media because we haven't stepped up to talk about compassion, environment, etc as our underlying values, IMHO. Lerner does this in his book, and it's so well written and reasoned it can make you get choked up.
