Is North Korea going to launch that thing yet? Geezzz
The idea of North Korea launching an ICBM that could reach the West coast of the U.S. will lead to major changes in foreign policy with this rouge state. North Korea clearly wants to demonstrate its capabilities. This ballistic missile could dump somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. However, would we use any strategic missile defense on our own to counter their test? A submarine missile intercept is possible. This would take a lot of confidence in attempting to intercept their N. Korean missile. Satellite defense does exist in some form today and new research is revamping the Cold War defense plan. The tools of the Cold War may come back in play more.
After I posted this post, I saw on the news that we may try to intercept the Korean missile. It would suck for N. Korea if we shot it down. Back to the drawing board guys, nice try.
