The repugs are having their clocks cleaned on the house floor
BWAAHHAAAAHAA!!!

This is absolutely a monumental blunder on the part of the house republicans.
Listening to the live debate on c-span.org one thing is clear, they have given the dems a unified voice in support of the Murtha resolution, and the debate is clearly in favor of our party!!

They have nothing but talking points, over and over each repug say's the same thing. They are being hammered on the linkage between Iraq and the war on terror. One dem rep said that they were far worse than Ann Coulter by abusing the deaths of 911 for political gain. Barney Frank said that they wanted to have it both ways. They say there is progress in Iraq, but if we draw down troops chaos will ensue. Which one is it? are they standing up or not?

The republican rhetoric over and over is the same lame argument made for staying in vietnam, and the dems have a platform to attack with the facts, over and over, beating them sensless!

I think this resolution is going to backfire so bad it will be one of the worst political decisions ever made.

I am elated at what I have heard so far, but I am worried that some dems will be cowardly and vote Yea because they are worried about their job. Please stay united on this! Please!

1. WE've got Leach
of course.

But considering the poll I jsut took, it shows the stubborn out of touch rehtoric of the GOP has no concern for the wishes of their constituents...

Its not retreat, its strategic redeployment....

3. This thing will pass but it will be close...
We've got Jim Leach, Walter Jones, Ron Paul for sure. Some Republican said he was going to vote present and quite a few might join him. I think Ray LaHood and few other Republicans are going to vote no as well.

I just hope we don't get any Democratic defections. I'm guessing we will lose Marshall, Matheson, and a few more.

4. Vic Snyder is making most compelling argument
We need to answer logistic questions concerning the war instead of constant rhetoric.... No answers, the American people really need to hear this conversation.

7. Yes they can't wait to defend the president in debates
when their opponents offer irrefutable evidence of wrong doing!

I can barely stand to listen to the republicans, I have to hold my nose and sometimes the headphones are thown off in disgust.

There are some things that are very apparent in this debate.

1. They is no argument about WMD or the link of terrorists and Iraq on their side.
2. Their is no talk of the number of deaths on their side.
3. Stay the course is now a very boring talking point on their side.
4. They have not responded at all to charges of no oversight.

They lose on rhetorical argument right and left.

wives. How uncreative. How 'lemmingly' they bow and kiss the ermine trim on the robe and the little diamond clips on the slippers.
