Do you recognize the sound of desperation ?
That is what I hear from the Republicans in the House that are attempting to restart the failed Iraq policy? Five years later, and 2500 deaths later, they are still looking for the flowers that they were to be greeted with. After $450 billion dollars, they are still looking for the oil to pay for their misguided blunder. Now, 85% of the people in Iraq have no electricity - worse than before the invasion. There is a shortage of potable water to drink in and around Baghdad. The Shia religious nuts have taken over the "government". There is a civil war going on between the Sunni and Shia sects. There are more attacks on the Iraqi civilians than there were at this time last year. Our troops are stressed to the limit after their second and third tours in that forsaken place. But, the Republicans say we are winning. We just need to "stay the course". Where have I heard that before??

2. Can you smell it?
I think there is adrenaline in the air....

They say that if you are afraid of horses, you should not go riding on one because they can smell the adrenaline in your stomach coming out of your pores & it makes them pissed and they might throw you off.

Same thing with the Repubs. Just look at them....you can see the tiny blood veins in the white of their eyes.....light pink, pumped fresh with pure unadulterated f-e-a-r. They're running scared, absolutely.

Because the Voting Heist was only good for a fairly small margin of votes. If the difference was Huge, like 30 - 70%, there is no way they can pull it off. They'll have a civil war on their hands.

By God, they know it.

From one horse to another....

4. We can't back out now -- we'll look weak!
Remember that one? As if making a colossal blunder like launching an ill-advised invasion doesn't make a country look weak. Curious thing about the Bush cabal: As la-di-dah as they claim to be about polls and the fickle vagaries of public opinion, they seem awfully concerned (obsessed, almost?) with being perceived as "weak" or "mistaken" by unnamed folks around the world.

It's like the school bully beating up the nerdly kid. He can't do anything less than wallop the daylights out of the little pischer, or his football team buddies (he thinks) will ride him for being insufficiently manly.

6. Everything is going swimmingly for them.
Money is flowing freely to mercenary contractors, bases are being built in Iraq, oil company profits are going through the roof -- what else could a Republican want?

7. This was a very stupid idea for them to do this!
I have been laughing my ass off all day at how this is going to backfire on them.
