Poll question: Religious RW Social Agenda: What Would They Give Up to Get What They Want?
The Religious RW of this country has a social agenda it seems willing t o go to great lengths to push.

In this thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x2680413

they are said to be seeking an "unprecedented" Constitutional Convention without Congressional oversight to ban Gay Marriage. They have, in the past also sued to have Roev. Wade overturned, to have prayer in schools, to have the science of evolution removed from school curriculums, and so forth. And, they have used their churches as tools to get out the vote on this agenda, so far as to recommend who is to be voted for.

As it was suggested in the above thread, the RW Christian Churches in this country be considered political entities, and thereby losing their tax-exempt status. Here's the question:

If the RW Christians were GUARANTEED the implementation of their social agenda, do you think they would willingly give up their tax-exempt status willingly and happily? -- Or do they just want what they want as a quid pro quo from an Administration they feel they elected in the first place?

2. No, why should they?
All they have to is jump up and down a few times shouting 'Why do you hate Jesus?' and they get what they ever they want.

5. So, this is really about the fact that they are hypocrites, or
their connections are so secure they can get anything they want anyway -- either way, I think theis is actually a very scary thing. Makes me wonder where the "tipping point" is -- or have we already passed the point where we could actually stop them, but now it's too late?
