Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have heard that once a Constitultional Congress is called (special session to mess with the amendments, I believe), then during that time, everything is up for grabs. If they managed to vote for in amendment of any kind, then they would be in "the zone" for throwing out the idea of an amendment eliminating the term limit, and we could have W in the presedency forever!

I'm certain I have some details wrong, but I'm sure I've heard that it's a special kind of session in Congress when dealing with Constitutional Amendments, and that during that session, ALL the amendments are open for debate. Can anyone confirm or deny?

1. You need an amendment to eliminate an amendment
unless I disremember my Civics.

2. Nope. Congress votes on amendments the same way they vote on everything.
There's no special section for debating amendments-- otherwise everything would be up for grabs every time someone suggested an amendment (which is often).

3. Constitutional Amendments require approval by the states.
