1. Nope....Doubt It

Personally, I really don't care. What matters most to me is that rover is not being indicted apparently, and he's probably going to skate.

Just another indication that being in power affords you the right and opportunity to get away with whatever you want. Seldom are there consequences, and even when there are, you can usually escape them in the end, so long as you have power and money.

That's really the bottom line. And I expect leopold and truthout will continue to stick by their story, and hope that in time enough people will forget they were wrong, and concentrate on other things.

The Left is never, ever, ever going to win anything in this climate, and that is sad.

2. It is a disheartending day ...

SO close to scoring at least one victory ... I guess the NJ and VA governors races were wins ... But, Hackett fell short, the CA 50 ... Rove wiggling of the hook ...

A week ago, I thought it was a little better than 50/50 they could win the house ... Now, my gut is telling me they pick up a total of 10-11 seats in the house, 1-2 seats in Congress, and once again fall just short - leaving of course, Bushco to sit on the ball and run out the last two years of its term, and to be hailed as a GREAT american president by right wing freaks 20 years from now, a la Reagan ...

3. We all need to SNAP OUT OF IT! (a la Cher in "Moonstruck")

So we thought we were going to get Rover ... and now we may not. Maybe Fitz is after someone higher up. We are playing completely into their hands if we give up and accept that we are "defeated." Yes, the freepers may be gloating today, but we MUST NOT allow them to prod us into resignation. Resist the mind f***!!!!
