Lieberman, who got higher marks from Republicans and unaffiliated voters than Democrats in a recent Quinnipiac University poll, has said he is not ruling out a possible run as an unaffiliated candidate.
. . .
"If Joe Lieberman is considering abandoning the Democratic party, the people have a right to know it," said Tom Swan, Lamont's campaign manager. "Ned is agreeing to abide by the process and respect the choice of the people. Will Joe?"
Meanwhile, Steinfels tried to portray Lamont as leaning to the right, accusing him of voting with Republicans most of the time he served on the Greenwich Board of Selectmen.
"We feel Washington already has enough Republicans like Ned," she said.
http://www.boston.com/news/local/connecticut/articles/2006/06/12/if_lamont_wins_primary_he_wants_lieberman_to_back_him/It is finally getting through to Bush's favorite Democrat that his Bush loving habits is not looked on favorably by the Democratic voting base. So now Lieberman is projecting his bad actions on to his opponent. Funny, isn't that projection tactic the exact same thing his buddies in the GOP do all the time?
