Cox Cable, Virginia, just pulled ads by MoveOn.org at the request
of a law firm, not named in the article, on the behalf of Thelma Drake. The article in the Virginian Pilot states that MoveOn falsely accused Thelma Drake of wrong doing. However all the ad says is that she excepted money from war profiteering companies (Haliburton) and voted in their favor.

1. Are those ads showing any market now?
I think they have been pulled in every single target market now. So if you are the GOP you may air any type of provocative trash, but we cannot air the truth supported by documented facts. OK, sounds fair...

2. Why didn't they pull the swift boater ads if they're so concerned with
truth in advertising. Asinine corporate America/evil empire strikes again. Politics really is a very dirty game. I wish there was a way to clean it up. Yuck!

4. Lawyers will need to be called in as it is now lawyers who will
be the only ones to bring back fairness to this business. Politicians who win by giving corporations everything will not change the course. Citizens should start going through the legal system if they want changes. No more protests, more lawsuits!

6. This is so typical of a failing government.
Any legal rights delineated in the law for the dissenting political party (even those long standing) have to be fought in the courts because those in power will not even follow their own laws. The rights are put in the law to appease the masses but are ignored when the law is carried out. No longer can an individual assume his rights will be protected even when codified. He has to fight in court for every scrap of freedom. But even the courts are stacked with cronies and political hacks determined to neutralize any dissent. Long live the King.

8. But I thought Repukes hated lawyers??!!
What the hell is it with Repukes and their "frivilous" lawsuits.

If DEMS do not start fighting dirty with these pricks, it won't matter what the polls show in November. Why Kerry didn't do this with the Swiftboaters is beyond me, but playing nice, and hoping that the American sheeple are too smart to fall for bullshit ads is not a winning strategy. If Americans didn't fall for bullshit ads, then Bud wouldn't be our most popular beer.

Dems need to adopt (with respect to Sean Connery) the "Chicago Way". "He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue".

Stop playing nice and expecting the Repukes to fight fair. They've turned politics into the WWE and we need some folks like "George the Animal Steel", or "Dick the Bulldog Brower". Someone who is not afraid to grab 'em by the nuts and squeeze.
