Here's a few tidbits for you:
The 49-48 roll call by which the Senate voted to halt a possible constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Sixty votes were required to end debate and have a yes-or-no vote on the amendment. On this vote, a "yes" vote was a vote in favor of ending debate.
Voting "yes" were 2 Democrats and 47 Republicans. Byrd and Ben Nelson -- Of course. Voting "no" were 40 Democrats, seven Republicans and one independent.
Louisiana's GOP Senator On Gay Marriage Ban: "I Don't Believe There's Any Issue That's More Important Than This One"... (That includes Hurricane Katrina)
GOP's Sen. Inhofe: I'm "Really Proud" No One Has Been Gay In The ‘Recorded History of Our Family'...
Rush Limbaugh: Liberals planning Gang Rape over Haditha
SCOTUS Members: Roberts and Alito -- You think either Gore or Kerry would have picked these two?
Repeal of the estate tax, lowering the tax rate of the wealthiest 2%, while giving the rest of the country nothing -- During a war no less.
If we're exactly the same, I don't see it. There are a few instances where we have members who seem as pukie or more pukie than most of the pukes -- Ben Nelson (D?-NE) for example -- The least he could have done was join the other Nebraska Senator, Hagel, and not vote on the amendment at all. But, the fact remains that on the majority of relevant issues, the vast majority of Democratic Senators do not vote with the pukes, nor do they share their twisted values.
