Palast vs. Coulter - Battle of the Books begins
From Greg Palast: ANNE COULTER AND I BOTH LAUNCH OUR BOOKS -- hers to promote the latest flavor of hate and militant ignorance; mine -- 'Armed Madhouse: Who's Afraid of Osama Wolf?, The Scheme to Steal '08 and other Dispatches from the Front Lines of the Class War -- the investigations, first broadcast on BBC, simply banned from US airways and print. (There's no truth to the rumor Coulter chose to release her book on 06-06-06 in honor of her father's birthday.)

I'm asking you to buy (or order) 'Armed Madhouse' THIS WEEK, right NOW in fact.

Why right now? Amazon and the industry have set up this Coulter vs. Palast 'launch week' as the Battle of The Books: Can progressives match the forces of darkness (they call them "conservatives")?

Coulter has a million-dollar Right Wing campaign behind her -- thereby allowing her and other hate-salesmen to control the media and the national discussion. The Coulter crew buys and dumps massive amounts of books, buying her way onto the bestseller list. I have only you.

I Bought the book yesterday from amazon. About 16.00 but a well spent 16.00.

1. Buy the book if its good.
Don't buy Colter's if it's not.

Why the bizarre game? Sorry, but it seems like a waste of energy.

7. It's the repubs who started the game,
by not giving MSM airtime to Palast's book while giving much airtime to Coulter's book, and by giving it far less shelve space that Coulter's book.

Palast is as much one of ours as Coulter is not. He reveals much of the downright criminal political and corporate maneuvering of the RW. His books are well worth reading by anyone who is interested to know what's behind the MSM induced perception of reality. Why would any progressive not support Palast?

3. I saw Palast several years ago at a book signing.
He is incredibly articulate. He is concise and logical and gets his point across with intelligent argument.
He is the kind of person that I admire and wish that there were more of in investigative journalism here in the states.
Go hear him in person if you have the chance and by all means support his work.

5. Did you use a credit card?
I'm so uneasy about shopping on line. I hate using a credit card anymore. Stolen identity-it's been unbelievable the crazy stuff you go through when this unravels.

6. The swamp beast had a much more prominent display position...
than Palast's book did when I walked into Borders yesterday. However, none of the copies of her book on the display table seem to have been purchased, and no one stopped to even look at it. (Except me of course, to wag the middle finger at it).
