BOWEN knows her stuff, is very savvy on electronic voting, and is a strong, strong advocate for open goverment. Her opponent Deborah Ortiz doesn't have a clue about electronic voting, and has made some alarmingly naive statements about it. DEBRA BOWEN has been aggressively monitoring the Schwarzenegger-appointed Sec of State and his illegal actions on behalf of Diebold. She held state senate public hearings about it. BOWEN won the endorsement of 80% of the rank and file Dems at the state convention. She is the VERY BEST Sec of State candidate imaginable.
