Republicans Love "Necessities", Until It Becomes A Problem For Republicans
It is such an irony to watch these Republican Congressmen and Senators as they have to deal with situations that they hate, but are of their own making. When your own dog comes up and bites you on the butt, it makes for a painful lesson in what you are doing to others.

For instance, the "outrage" over a Congressman's office, a DEMOCRATIC Congressman no less, being invaded by the FBI in search of evidence of corruption. They are all worked up because the Executive Branch has "crossed a line" into the Legislative Branch's independence as a co-equal branch of government. I find this extremely funny, when you consider that THEY were the ones who kept pushing "the line" further and further back, until it was just outside their office doors.

The REAL question, to me, is why no search of Duke Cunningham's office, or moreover, Tom DeLay's office. My goodness, if you look up "corruption" in the dictionary, you see those two crook's pictures in living color!

Republican Congressional "outrage" should have started the moment the Village Idiot in the White House began to take his hunger for power to such presidential heights, that if it had been a Democratic president, they KNOW they would have been screaming and yelling and resisting, along with their Democratic collegues, with all of their might!

They should READ their HISTORY and realize that THIS SORT OF THING is exactly how fascist regimes have begun all through the world's political history, and now it is not just the problem of the Democrats AND the American people, but THEIR'S TOO!

And NOW? Now,you have Congressman Peter King(R-NY) literally SCREAMING because of cuts in Homeland Security for New York. Now, understand before I go any further, I AM in favor of New York, Washington, Chicago and any other city, getting as much money for their defense as possible. But, it is King and his compatriots that have allowed budget cuts, including Homeland Security, to go deep in an attempt to look frugal. It is also King and friends who continue to create bigger and deeper tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, while what is left of the middle class bears the biggest burden.

It is King and Bush's other stormtrooper's that continue to spend us into extreme record deficits, after inheriting record surpluses, and those numbers don't even INCLUDE the War on Terror, the Presidents Occupation of Iraq, OR hurricane relief from last summer. All of which are paid for in supplementals and "off budget"!

And don't forget, it was also a straight party-line vote that refused to spend the money to inspect every container coming into American ports, because it would inconvenience Home Depot, which is continually holding fundraisers for the RNC and it's spawns.

OK, it could be just me...........
