How do we Purge all the Re-pukes from government posts??
Here is the scene. The Dem's have won back the presidency in 2008.

Now we are faced with 8 years of appointments to minor (but important) posts from NOAA to NASA. How do we purge them and replace them with competent people?? Do we get the list of everyone who was appointed in the last 8 years and fire all of them?? Should we eliminate political appointments by law and staff only with academics??

2. Apolitical Doctrine
The CIA,FBI, Military, USCIS, Homeland Security, the Bush admin has worked hard to politicize all these offices by stuffing them with his OWN cronies. It has led to nothing but disaster including Katrina and 911.

America needs a president with the Political Balls to draft the Apolitical Doctrine demanding all these PUBLIC SERVENTs remain the servents of the people and the office they serve. Using the Apolitical Doctrine, congress should be able to automatically demand the resignation of ANY political apointee who fails to abide by the provisions set forth to serve the people of the United States of America and the office they serve

8. Apolitical Doctrine is a great idea
And I like the other posting that said: Any appointee discharged by congress should be exempted from working for the federal government

4. To begin with some of them will go along with their *ss but it
is those that were hired by them as underlings that need somehow to be screened. There were many of these agencies (FEMA, Dept. of Human Services, Social Security, etc.) that were doing just fine until *ss put his incompetent bunch in to supervise them. What we need to do is see how much of the mess is caused by newly hired incompetence and how much is morale problems because the workers hate *ss and Co.

5. schedule C employees
Anybody who is a political appointee is a schedule C employee and works at the leisure of the president. When Bushes term is over they all must turn in their resignation and either leave government service or apply for a permanent federal position just like you and me. The key here is making sure that if the Democrats take back the Whitehouse in 2008 that make them all resign and go away.

7. In other words these "Dead Beats" just cycle through the system
just as we have seen with the former Watergate Felons now all holding positions in government.

You forget while serving in that position the also stuff the department with friends which in turn provide them with "Golden Parachute" oppertunaties down the road. Washington turns into a revolving door for this dead wood.

TIME TO CLEAN UP THE CEASPOOL

Any appointee discharged by congress should be exempted from working for the federal government

10. They are really embedded in high-level positions. It will take at least
10 years to get them out.

12. I'd settle for castration
We can't make people go away merely because we wish they would. But we can neuter them and render them effectively harmless. Our job will be to amplify their failures for the rest of the country to see -- pull down their pants, so to speak, so everyone can see the damage they have done to both themselves and this nation. There is not enough political Viagra in the world to make them a threat again after they finally fall from power.

14. Sounds sort of McCarthyesque to me. Keep the most competent, which
won't leave too many at all.
