UNCHARTED WATERS OF A BOGUS PRESIDENT
With the eminent release of RFK jr. article on the presidential election in Ohio, America could eventually be entering into a political environment that it has never experienced. That is where the majority of the people believe that the sitting president has stolen the election that put him in power.
Look at this scenario: Cheney is impeached or forced to resign for his role the outing of Valerie Plame. The Democrats take control of the house in 06. This means that the Speaker of the House is the next in line for the presidency. The majority of the American people come to believed that the 2004 election was stolen and that shrub is complicit. This leads to the conviction that shrub should be replaced by Sen. Kerry ,or at least a Democrat. Shrub is faced with the prospect of being impeached and the Speaker of the House becoming president ,or admitting to his complicity and nominating Kerry for vice president before he resigns, in hopes for leniency from justice.
If Robert Kennedy's article is compelling, and the main stream media pick up on this, it could get really interesting.

2. They will replace Cheney first before losing the regime.
If it looks like all hell will break loose, and the Dems take back the house/senate, I believe that Cheney would resign and be replaced by someone "safe" like McCain, or Rice, or even Jeb, before Bush would resign, or could be impeached.
No way will they risk turning their regime over to President Pelosi.

5. Congress would vote on whomever he nominates ,so they would have
to do it before the election , or before the public realized that the election was stolen.

6. In a spirit of "unprecedented bipartisanship"--Leiberman will become VP.
After Cheney retires for "health reasons."

If things start looking hot for Bush, his handlers will adjust his medication to let him start foaming at the mouth on nationwide TV. Oops, another medical retirement.

Then, pardons all 'round from President Leiberman.

7. This will all be chalked up to mad liberal Bush bashing.
Tin-foil hat conspiracy loons and what-not. One thing everyone needs to remember is that no fascist regime in history has ever - ever - lost an election. Elections are a piece of cake for fascists once they have obtained power, so don't look for any "Oh my God!" moments from the American electorate; it's already too late for that...
