Please help my wife decide who to send this poem to where it will do the most good.
I saw Baghdad-ER today And there is something I must say To those who have the power in our land
So someone tell me loud and clear Just why it is that we’re still there Because I simply can’t quite understand
I think there should be some decree To force you all to watch and see The red bags that are filled with body parts
And watch while doctors try to mend A sight too hard to comprehend The broken bones and shattered, broken hearts
Do not insult me with your lies No WMD’s was no surprise And terrorism now is worse than ever
We’ll fight them there instead of here Just isn’t working , it’s quite clear Although you must have thought that phrase was clever
Please tell me how you justify Your choice to send these kids to die A general said the number doesn’t count
How can he give the lame excuse Of terrorists being on the loose As KIAs and injured numbers mount
I hope that if your future plan Includes a war upon Iran You watch this film and all its gory parts
But then again, of this I’m sure You’d go to yet another war Because you don’t appear to have a heart!
Thanks, DU'ers
