Edited on Mon May-22-06 01:08 AM by global1
He was the chairman of the CITIZEN'S COMMITTEE TO CLEAN UP THE COURTS and noted 'conspiracy theorist' in Chicago. Here's a link to his website where you can find some wild stories: http://www.skolnicksreport.com/

1. As A Comedian, Sir, He Will Be Missed
There is nothing else even remotely good to say, except perhaps that whatever demons of delusion drove him are stilled, and perhaps he experienced a bit of peace before the end.

4. As a magistrate, sir, your opinion is clearly biased.
He certainly had more clarity than the 1 of 3 who think Bush is doing a good job.
Your quick response to the original post might indicate that your buttons were pushed. Or not. Care to expand?

2. I used to listen to him on the radio sometimes
He could spin some wild yarns, that's for sure.

I can still hear him saying "For a HEAVY packet of PRINTED stories..."

3. here's the report from channel 2 in Chicago
(CBS) CHICAGO Community activist and cable television host Sherman Skolnick has died at the age of 73.

Mr. Skolnick died at his home. Some dismissed Mr. Skolnick as a conspiracy theorist, but some have credited him with exposing a bribery scandal within the Illinois court system in the late 1960s and early 1970s, in a corruption scandal that led to the indictment of former Gov. Otto Kerner.

Mr. Skolnick founded the group the Citizen’s Committee to Clean up the Courts in 1963. He was also the host of the cable television program “Broadside.”

5. As a veteran any opinnions of him ...
can revert back to those who lived in Chicago and heard his revelations on the radio and called his amazing hotline.

Sherman, despite how you might like to look at him today, was DU before the Internet and an inspiration and a light to many!

May he rest in peace and have a good run in the Clear Light as he rises unto the place of his just belonging.

Long live Sherman Skolnick, a real and brave pioneer for our current times. He dared to do and stood by what he thought, knew, and believed, no matter how out of the norm and the system.
