MORE Rove wisdom: "Bush's approval rating is in the 60s in some polls."
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,195547,00.html

Rove accused the news media of being too fixated on polls. "I love this mania which has swept through American media today which substitutes polls for coverage of substance," he said.

"There's, I'm sure, going to be a special Betty Ford addiction for those that are addicted to regular poll numbers, but you'll work your way through it," he said, referring to the former first lady's clinic for treating substance abuse.

Despite low approval ratings, "I'm sanguine," Rove said. "I know our own polls."

He said that Bush's likeability, his personal approval ratings, were in the 60s in some polls. "Job approval is lower. And what that says to me is that people like him, they respect him, he's somebody they feel a connection with, but they're just sour right now on the war. And that's the way it's going to be."

1. "Some people" like David Blaine. It doesn't mean they want him
running the country.

4. Are those "polls" tallied on the same computers Rove used to fix the vote?
No wonder they're so positive. Bush has his "mandate" back. Go figure.

5. Are you positive GWB lied - 60%+ say YES, are you convinced that
GWB manipulated intell to take us to war in Iraq - 60%+ say YES
Would you positively like to see GWB tried for War Crimes - 60%+ say YES
Are you positive that GWB is the Worst President Ever? 60%+ say YES

Guess KKKarl is right, it's all in the way the question is asked - Shrub does poll positively above 60% in many questions that I can think of.

8. The media's fixation on polls is nothing new
Ever since I was a teenage news junky, the media was fixated on the President's approval ratings. In those days, it was LBJ.

(Rove) said that Bush's likeability, his personal approval ratings, were in the 60s in some polls.

So, we have a misleading headline from FoxNews. I'm shocked, shocked! I say, that FoxNews would stoop to spinning a story like that.

13. "I'm sanguine. I know our own polls." WTF is that supposed to mean?
In one breath, he says the news relies too much on polls and, in the next, he expresses confidence in "our own polls?" What exactly are "our own polls?" Are those the ones he conducts in the Oval Office to determine how much fraud and deceit the administration can get away with?
