Ohio Senate: Brown (D) 44% DeWine (R) 41% (Rasmussen)
"Brown is up 44% to 41% and that's the first time he's been ahead in any of the six Ohio polls Rasmussen Reports has conducted for Election 2006 (see crosstabs)."

"The 44% level of support for Brown is his highest of the season. DeWine has lost ground in four straight polls since peaking at 46% in mid-February."

1. If Rasmussen
has Brown up by 3%.........I'll bet that it's even a wider margin.

4. Gonna need a lot more than 3% to overcome Blackwell's cheating.
But I'm still gonna hope.

6. Polls are nice but fair elections in Ohio are like......
beach front condos in the arctic. Both are possible but very unlikely.

7. Brown's been ahead a long time
Rasmussen's polling in this race has been wildly innacurate, to say the least. Their previous poll showed DeWine "ahead" with a margin of error of + or - 9%. Even using Rasmussen's bogus polling, DeWine is still trending lower as Brown trends higher.

Zogby polling has been more consistent and has shown Brown to be ahead since before the primary.

All this even though DeWine has spent over $2 million on tv ads - he's still losing ground.

9. There's a new law in Ohio....
... that voters need to show IDs. I don't know if it takes effect this year or not. It wasn't in force during the primary.

This law will depress poor voters who were always elegible to vote but never had a drivers license. I'm afraid that many people are not aware of the law and won't find out until they're standing at the polling place being told that they cannot vote.

Anyway, we'll need a much larger margin if we're going to win.

10. Actual margin is larger
probably by 3 points or more, with the trend also going in favor of Brown.

Here's a great idea! How about getting involved in the campaign by volunteering or making a donation?

11. Right now I'm working on the minimum wage initiative...
... but through my work with DFA I'll be helping out Sherrod and Strickland to some extent.
