Bush's "Mission Acomplished" 3rd ann. on Monday
Monday will be the 3rd anniversary Dubya's staged aircraft carrier landing and his nationally televised speech beneath a Whitehouse produced banner proclaiming "Mission Accomplished!"

Media Matters has "Mission Accomplished: A look back at the media's fawning coverage of Bush's premature declaration of victory in Iraq" featured on its website.

my fav:
Chris Matthews:"He won the war. He was an effective commander. Everybody recognizes that, I believe, except a few critics."

1. I hope the MSM plays it up - one of the biggest lies by Bush so far.

2. Not much chance of that...
MSM will be focused on the May Day marches and walkouts. Good timing for the Bushzis, for if it were a slow news day even Tweety would have to acknowledge what happened three years ago.

3. I'm spending my whole day in town
with a big sign

MISSION ACOMPLISHED

at gas stations pointing them to the price.

This isn't a corodinated effort or anything, I'm just doing it myself.

....if the mission is still accomplished?....maybe if bush declared victory in Iraq and pulled our troops out starting tomorrow, he could re-proclaim 'mission accomplished' on Monday?....

6. don't forget how the WH tried to lay the banner off on the NAVY!
like the Navy planned it

also, they had to move the ship a short distance so that the TV cameras would not catch the California coastline in the background
