tried very hard to discredit Dean and the Deaniacs, we are still around. I would never use the word "caricature" against a Democrat. It implies things we should not say about one another. I found this video of Dean's Hardball interview today, NOT at any Democratic site...in fact the only mention I have found at Democratic blogs was about how nasty Norah was. This is from a right wing blog, and I advise you not to read the comments.

Yes, Norah was obnoxious. She made a fool of herself. Dean did us proud in that interview, he turned the questions back to where he wanted them to go, and he avoided her traps. He was a good spokesperson. I have seen no Democrats, except a few at the DNC blog give him credit for holding his own.

I never wanted him to run for chairman, but now that he is I support his efforts to build the party state by state, and precinct by precinct. Many wish he would step down and run again, but he is too decent not to keep his word.

I would never use the word "caricature" against another Democrat.

View the video, decide for yourself the kind of spokesman he is,

1. Norah O'Donnell's questions were from a simplistic mind.
She was the very caricature of a pretty face and not much for brains. I feel very comfortable using that word against her, because she deserved it.

I was glad to see Dean point out that cutting the huge subsidies to the oil companies, and getting either out of Iraq or getting it under control were two major items Democrats could do while Bush was still president. He made it clear that they could stop the destructive things Bush was doing if they took back some congressional seats.

I also liked that he said he did not mind in which language the national anthem was sung...that he was a patriot and he was sure they were patriots also.

2. Obnoxious is right.
You know, I saw on the news tonight a poll that showed that Americans believed their number one problem wasn't the war in Iraq, it was high gas prices. Give me an effing break! Yes, when the price of gas goes up, you have to pay an extra $15 when filling your tank. BIG DEAL. No one in this country misses their $15 more than a mother or wife or family misses their son or daughter killed in Iraq. The fact that people can put high gas prices at the top of the list, above shredding our Constitution, above invading a country based on lies, above the needless deaths and maimings of thousands of their own citizens is just disgusting to me.

4. She did not even come across as intelligent, IMHO.
She did not sound like she was up on the issues.

3. He said Bush's guest worker program would make indentured servants...
out of immigrants. I like that he said that. There appears to be little chance of their becoming citizens if I understand that correctly.

5. Says if we get power back, we can stop the prez from doing the things..
Edited on Sat Apr-29-06 01:56 AM by madfloridian
he has done to drastically increase gas prices. We'll stop the president from giving away our tax money to oil companies..and we will change the course of the war in Iraq, and we will pass and ask the president to sign the kind of environmental legislation that will result in reduced oil use.

Glad to see one person noticed I posted this video. It is important not to give false impressions about fellow Democrats, so I wanted to clarify.

Just wanted folks to see the video since none of the bloggers on our side even mentioned it.
