Delay's Resignation Bodes Very Well For November
There's no way Tom Delay would have ever let his claws be pried from their grip on power were the Republicans not in extremely bad shape seven months out from the election.

Their internal polling is currently showing that they will lose the House.

Waves tend to build in politics. They do not end abruptly. Ever. The anti-Bush, anti-Republican wave has been building for five years and gaining enormous steam in the last 12 months.

A freight train is coming. And it just flattened Tom Delay in its path.

1. From your lips to the Lady's ears, Ruggerson
We can only hope. I don't feel as much elation as I thought I would -- so very much hangs in the balance, and like the pols say, half a year in politics is an eternity.

2. Our country is hurting big time, via the republican party.
They have done nothing but rubber stamp W's corporate globalism, with our citizens losing out.

They damn well deserve to lose.

4. I agree.
We are still 7 months away. Abramoff, Libby, Noe, DeLay...still many more indictments in the que. Iraq will get worse, economy sucking bog water, deficits escalating, more corruption and incompetence yet to be exposed. More Bush buffoonery, more rats exiting a sinking ship. You know it's bad when they send Laura out to tell how the carpets were frayed in the WH.....wasn't that the 1st story they played when they stole the WH?

6. It was something about how all the "w's" had been removed
from the word processors or some crock of BS like that. Should have tipped all of us off as to what chronic LIARS they would be.

7. There has never been a pro-Bush wave. He lost in 2000 and again 04.
And the supposed victories of the right in the years 2000 to 2005, which will likely be repeated in 06, are in large part the result of the rigging or tilting of the vote by electronic voting machines, particularly central tabulators. To discuss demographics or political tendencies without remembering that is to misunderstand everything. America hsn't lost its basic decency and right-mindedness in politics; it's just disenfranchised right now.

8. here is my campaign idea
6 months out have billboards in all cities with the following numbers and slogan. Have the numbers light up so they can be changed daily. If possible put picture of Bush with republican from that district.

2,342 Dead US Soldiers

$8,462,384,923,215 US National Debt

$2.78 Price of gallon of gas

How's that Bush thing working out for you?

12. What a Great idea!
And in the background, under those numbers, have a picture of Bush and DeLay smiling at each other as they shake hands!

Send a left brain and a right brain subliminal message, all at the same time!

15. they have done incredible damage
Edited on Tue Apr-04-06 05:51 PM by MissWaverly
I saw a picture of Karl Rove turning this valve to help divert water from the salmon's
spawning river. The powers that be in DC including Karl jumped in with both feet to
divert the water to provide irrigation for the farmers, as a result 88,000 salmon
died last year because the river was too warm and too shallow. This year there will
be no salmon season, nada, zip, nada. The fishing industry stands to lose a million
and a half dollars and all these men are just standing there with boats and no fish
to catch. Meanwhile the federal water reclamation officials are busy spinning how
it's not their fault. Meanwhile, the scientists are saying that they don't know if
there will be any salmon to come back, because the 88,000 that died last year did not
spawn.
