Is the Mainstream Media finally getting half the rigged voting machine story?
by Bob Fitrakis and Harvey Wasserman
March 29, 2006

<snip>

At least the corporate media has moved from framing the allegations of e-voting fraud as “conspiracy theory” into reporting epic errors in election results.

On March 28, USA Today's front page reported, that "Primary voting-machine troubles raise concerns for general election." The story focused on primaries in Illinois and Texas, where all-too-familiar problems include more votes being counted than there were registered voters, and thousands of votes missing from a recount.

<snip>

Yet, the e-voting machines are just part of the digital problem facing U.S. voters. Diebold’s election software packages include what many activists describe as “one stop shopping” for election fraud. Most of the e-voting machine companies also sell software that creates digital electronic voter registration databases. In the Cleveland area, an estimated 7000 voters were knocked off the voter registration rolls when Cuyahoga County Board of Elections adopted the Diebold registration system. The e-voting machine companies can control everything electronically, from voter registration to election day vote recording to final vote tabulation and recounting.

<snip>

But the fact that these publications are finally acknowledging the obvious, overwhelming mechanical "glitches" with these machines is at least a start. Now that the Government Accountability Office has confirmed electronic voting equipment is easily hackable for mass vote stealing, and now that the Times and USA Today have reported that there are serious mechanical problems, maybe somebody at one of these media outlets will finally come to the obvious conclusion: electronic voting machines are merely high-tech devices designed to steal elections. And that is precisely why George W. Bush is in the White House today.

1. Andy Stephenson and others who fought so hard to find out the truth about
the election frauds, esp. the shameful, massive vote stealing with Diebold are being vindicated.

http://www.BradBlog.com also deserves credit for holding onto this issue "like a bulldog" and for offering publicity protection to Clint Curtis, Sibyl Edmonds and other brave whistleblowers. God Bless Ray Lemme's honest soul, may he rest in peace.

4. Lemonade, anyone?
These new-fangled voting machines are lemons.

We oughta get our money back. So far, we have spent 4 billion dollars on these lemons.... they don't count the left, they only count to the right.

5. Some more M$M coverage
http://www.tbo.com/news/politics/MGBKSY8W8LE.html

That link is the first M$M report I've read that lays out the whole story pretty doggone well.

From the AP wires... a story about Ion Sancho, the Florida Election Supervisor who allowed some computer experts to hack a diebold machine, and in so doing pissed off ALL the vendors, and the gov. of Florida. He now is raising hell trying to make sure your vote gets counted - just the way you cast it.

7. When will they decide that it's in their best interest
to run the WHOLE story? How can the media be better off under fascism?

13. The answer to that question would tell us a lot about why we
are in the position we're in now in ALL POLICY AREAS and why we may be in the same position after 2006 and 2008. Don't look for them to pursue election fraud...they aren't going to do it on a national level. It will have to be done on a local level, county by county and state by state, courthouse by courthouse, by people who buck the system. It is an uphill battle that won't be won everywhere.

14. The MSM never cover stories like this one until it's painfully obvious
Only after everyone else has beat the subject to death does MSM finally catch a clue.

I hestitate to think where we would be today without the blogosphere.
