Two more (Katherine) Harris staffers depart

Two more Harris staffers depart

By JEREMY WALLACE

jeremy.wallace@heraldtribune.com

Katherine Harris lost two more top staffers this week, one from her campaign office and another from her congressional office.

"It's time for me to move on," said Leah Pitts, the deputy finance director of operations for Harris' U.S. Senate campaign.

Snip...

The departures come as Harris tries to rejuvenate her Senate campaign, which has suffered from slow fund-raising, bad poll numbers and a messy scandal over illegal campaign contributions.

Snip...

Harris has had four chiefs of staff, four district directors and now five press secretaries. On average, members of Congress hold onto their high-level staff for four to five years.

2. I assume that she has retained the two most important
assets in her campaign.
Staffers can come and go, but breast implants last forever.
They'll still be there when they dig her up, like King Tut, 3,000 years from now.

Poor Spunk and Moxie. Think of how often they are thrust out there in the public eye, forced to be perky and alert and at attention, when all they really want to do is stay home and watch TV.

8. Oh yeah, she's in it for the long haul
Weaving, punch-drunk, staggering, looping, right to the bitter end, but she'll finish the race, because God loves me very much and wants me to enjoy the spectacle. Thank you, Lord.

9. Not in for the long ride?

BTW if anybody on her staff wants to tell about the one diebold machine in
Volusia County, FL that produced a negative 16,000 votes for Al Gore after
ABC, CBS, & NBC all called the state for Gore I would love to hear it.

10. The clue phone keeps rining but she won't pick up
The payback for selling out this country was a safe seat in the House. That her massive ego got in the way might be the stuff of tragedy, were there a Shakespeare among us able to see through the farce.

I sincerely hope she loses it all, but some cats always land on their feet.

11. They're not going down with a sinking ship
Nobody bails out of a campaign or a Congressional office until they see the light at the end of the tunnel - and it's an oncoming train.

She's finished.
