Barbara Bush is the "Worst Person in the World"
says Keith Olbermann on "Countdown" tonight.

She gave to a Katrina charity, but demanded that the money go to her son Neil's computer company.

She could have just given the money directly to Neil, but this way she gets a tax deduction.

1. I just saw that and had to find a link
Here's a story on it.

http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/news/state/14170174.htm

It's truly disgusting.

So then what do I see? A story on another Bush family member ripping us off.

Bush's Uncle Earned Millions in War Firm Sale
An SEC filing shows William H.T. Bush collected about $1.9 million in cash, plus stock valued at $800,000, from the deal.

WASHINGTON — As President Bush embarks on a new effort to shore up public support for the war in Iraq, an uncle of the commander in chief is collecting $2.7 million in cash and stock from the recent sale of a company that profited from the war.

A report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission shows that William H.T. Bush collected just under $1.9 million in cash plus stock valued at more than $800,000 from the sale of Engineered Support Systems Inc. to DRS Technologies of New Jersey.

The $1.7-billion deal closed Jan. 31. Both firms have extensive military contracts.

William Bush was a director of Engineered Support Systems. Recent SEC filings show he was paid cash and DRS stock in exchange for shares and options he obtained as a director.

Before DRS purchased it, Missouri-based ESSI experienced record growth as a result of expanded U.S. military contracts — many to supply U.S. efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The contracts, some awarded on a no-bid basis, include a $77-million deal to refit military vehicles with armor for use in Iraq.

I wonder what she thinks of that? A poll showed that Texans want them out and feel they have OVERSTAYED their welcome!

So much for their PHONY COMPASSION!!
Also they feel that these people are responsible for the increase in crime!!

It won't be too long now before they start rounding them up and kicking them out. I think they have till April!!

35. Bush Wrong
Edited on Fri Mar-24-06 08:35 AM by erpowers
What Barbara Bush did really was wrong. To some degree you could say they money is really not charity. It seems to me when you give charity you do not make demands on where the money goes.

I think it is sad that the media is making such a big deal about her giving this money and acting like she gave the money out of the goodness of her heart. The media has even started to cover for Mrs Bush. This morining I heard a story about the supposed gift; however, the news report failed to mention she demanded the money go to her son Neil Bush. The report made it seem as if Mrs Bush owned the company and gave a donation through her company. I noticed the story because the name of the company attributed to Mrs. Bush sounded like the name of her son's company; however I am quite sure the news report said it was Mrs. Bush's company.

So another Bush-family sleight of hand: get a tax deduction for a charitable contribution to a company where you are one of the owners.

Brilliant. Evil, but brilliant.

These people laugh at all of us, all the way to the Cayman Islands and back again.

They are adept at enriching themselves, looting the public treasury, causing war, havoc and chaos in the world at large, and keeping the masses asleep and divided.

56. No, no no...you've got it all wrong.
You see, Barbara knows something about her beloved son that we don't. You see, Neil Bush is a loser. And I don't mean someone who is only suited to be a street sweeper or a dog catcher (in fact, those are good guys).

But this is a big-time squanderer of money. Neil Bush has started many companies. They've all gotten into trouble in one form or another, or they failed. Look at the Silverado Savings & Loan heist. that one cost the US taxpayers about $1 billion. But there are many more "hot business deals" that Poppy had to bail him out of. Neil seems to be naive, ignorant, stupid. We hear all the time about how Poppy bailed George Bush out of problems, but Neil is truly their "two-legged trouble".

Neil is what estate attorneys call a "wealth dissipater".

She was only trying to help her son. If he knew what was said about her, she would get tears in her eyes, and say, "You don't understand....sob...you just don't understand".
