In a weird juxtaposition of images, FOX News was interviewing Bob Dole to push the meme that the media isn't reporting any good news out of Iraq with their FOX Fact saying " Iraq: A New Era"-while showing video of violence right next to "good old" Bob.

You would figure that FOX would have footage of schools being built to turn to instead of car bombs, and wild fires. Who knew they were part of the evil-liberal media.

That vid of Dole is disquieting, to me, because of BD himself: he seems to be unable to hold his head up, and speaks the whole time as if he's suppressing a burp.
The background of violence, well...at least part of the screen is telling some truth, despite the editors intentions. I'm with you: I would expect something different from the explosions if their motive was to candy-coat things. I don't watch anything of the FOX stations, quite by choice, so I'm just guessing but perhaps they just like that kind of blow-em-up footage over there. From most of what I read here it sounds like FOX is entirely banking on manipulative sentimentality or blood sports.
