Protests all over the world,but...
not if you check out the so-called media. I just watched CNN,CNN International,FAUX,MSNBC and all I saw was the protest....of French students and French labor leaders running through the streets of Paris with cops in riot gear and tear gas wafting through the streets. Where are the reports of the throngs of millions in the streets protesting the third anniversary of the illegal bush junta war on civil liberties. Where? We know the MSM is in bed with the Bush crime family. This is not to dismiss the French protests,(and by the way,the French government is a conservative leaning government) but one would think that the third anniversary of the most unpopular war since Vietnam would gather some media coverage? Naive ain't I?

1. The reports on CNN and FOX are misleading, anyway
These protests are very important, but because they are important, our media are trying to show them A LOT MORE VIOLENT than they are.

You would not want that people believe it is fine to fight for rights, would you?

2. The Bush crime family . . .
. . . has certainly got a stranglehold on EVERYTHING.

But we're gonna fight the bastards to the bitter end.

(Welcome to DU, by the way . . . and I think Connecticut is an extremely cool state. Been there many times.)

3. Honestly, the French protests are probably bigger
For one thing, the French government may actually listen to them; and they may be bigger in terms of size too.

Unions said some 1.5 million took part while police put turnout at 500,000.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/4819052.stm

And the anti-war protesters in the UK:

Police put the number attending at 15,000, but organisers said between 80,000 and 100,000 were at the rally.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4818952.stm

Global demonstrations began with smaller numbers than had been expected. In Australia, about 500 protesters marched through central Sydney, while about 2,000 turned out in Tokyo.

In Turkey, where opposition to the war is nearly universal and cuts across all political stripes, about 3,000 protesters gathered on the European and Asian sides of Istanbul, police there said.
...
About 200 Pakistanis gathered in the southern city of Karachi to condemn the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. Pakistan has supported the United States’ war against terrorism in Afghanistan, but not the war in Iraq.

In Australia about 500 protesters marched in Sydney, chanting “End the war now!” and “Troops out of Iraq!” Many waved placards branding Bush the “World’s No. 1 Terrorist” or expressing concerns that Iran could be the next country to face invasion.
...
In Japan, about 2,000 demonstrators turned out in Tokyo, carrying signs saying “Stop the Occupation.” Japan has some 600 non-combat troops in Iraq engaged in humanitarian work.
...
In South Korea, which has the third-largest contingent of foreign troops in Iraq after the US and Britain, up to 3,000 demonstrators were expected to gather Sunday in Seoul. In Malaysia’s largest city, Kuala Lumpur, a rally was planned outside the US Embassy on Sunday.
