6. Okay, heres what went on. The Democrats who attended
the caucus were the delegates to this county convention. There was a good size group for our area. The important activities include electing delegates who support your candidate and the issues you want to represent. There were more progressives present that other party faithful. We also voted on 20 resolutions including for single payer health care for all Minnesota citizens, immediate withdrawal from Iraq, support for alternative energy and many other issues most of which are dear to a DUer's heart. All in all, I feel great about the experience. Some issues that we discuss here (election fraud) were brought up. One sure thing we agreed (traditional Dems, Progressives and Greens) should all work as a unit so we can win in the 2006 elections.

4. If it's anything like our conventions,
read Robert's Rules of Order or at least flip through a cheat sheet at the bookstore to get an idea of what's going on.

Try to get on a committee, they have power. You'll learn a lot if you get on something like the "Rules" committee. Nominations committee has a lot of pull too.

Have fun! :bounce:
