called Congress to ask if anyone believes in congressional oversight
Called Warner, Allen, Pelosi, Davis, Moran, Reid.... and here's the rough transcript...
"Does the congressman bevieve in Congressional oversight of the administration?"

"Quaint idea, I know, but with Bolton calling Iran as 9/11 and US launching heaviest airbombing campaign since start of Iraq war (can you say "Bombing occupied country is against Geneva conventions?) AND bush restating the imperial presidents right of pre-emptive strike BACKED UP of course by nation building to leave a strong govt for the people...."

"Well," I asked, "how the HELL are we supposed to PAY for it? We're stuck in Iraq, we've all but totally ABANDONED Afghanistan, and now we're hell-bent on attacking IRAN. Hello? Congressional OVERSIGHT anyone."

George Allen's guy said, The Senator will be looking hard at all these issues.

I replied (give me a break on this folks - it's the only RUDE thing I said to any of them...) "George ALlen already bent over and dropped trou"

argh.....
those poor people in Iraq, Afghnistan, and soon - I fear - Iran....

1. About the best that'll get you...
...is all the admin staff will be talking about the dick who called on their lunch hour.

Seriously. I'm not scolding you for it, I'm just saying that's about as far as your call will get beyond the ears of whomever you spoke with.
