Another good Craig's List post!
How many lives does it cost to fill your tank??

quote......
Anybody notice the high gas prices?

At what cost does a gallon of gas come to now a days?

It seems that with the government making an 'investment' for the oil companies by overturning a government in a middle-eastern country to create a strong-hold where oil can be piped to the US at a much lower cost. That at a time we are paying 2.49 a gallon (or about 21 cents a mile for those of us that get 12 MPG) and oil companies are making more profits than any other comapany in history.

So if you are paying 21 cents a mile think about how much that is a month.
And then think about how many gallons of gas will be produced from the US overtaking Iraq. You created a higher demand so the market responded.
Driving a full size SUV or pick-up for city use is wrong and is costing lives. Every gallon burned represents the blood of soldiers with the stynch of money and greed.

Stop the maddness!!

This message is part of an Anti-SUV campaign

1. I drive a 12-yr-old Toyota that still gets 35mpg in the city
(And she just passed CA's smog inspection this morning. She's a good girl.)

Why on Earth do people willingingly purchase vehicles that get 12 freaking miles to the gallon??

3. The Bay Area is infested with them

And there's not a whole heck of a lot of snow around here (last week's freak storm nothwithstanding). In addition, I rarely see more than one individual in an SUV at a time. It's obscene.

edited for subject typo
