4. Forget it. Harry Reid? Maybe, but Daschle? Forget it.
Daschle was ineffective as the Democratic leader in the Senate and lost his re-election bid.

5. What an inspiring candidate he would be.
I didn't even want him to win reelection to the Senate.

6. Hmm. Good idea:
Let's nominate a man who couldn't even get re-elected in his own home state with incumbency AND a high-ranking position in what used to be a major political party, who wasn't even well-liked when he WAS in office. Smart.

8. I honestly don't see him going all the way, but what the hell
Let him get in there and do some scrappin'. He may come up with some interesting points.

Half the time, when candidates declare, what they are really doing is auditioning for a cabinet position, or selection as VP. If he can motivate a segment of the population to get out and VOTE for a Democrat, that isn't a bad thing.

9. The comedic element is light so Daschle is the sacrificial fun goat.
Thank goodness, my vote won't matter to his chances.

12. LOL...
.. Tom "milk toast personified" Daschle? Laugh Out Loud - who would be stupid enough to vote for that useless cowering wimp of a senate leader? He is the exact polar opposite of what the party needs.

16. Bite me Tom,
You were nothing but a cold and uninsperational Minority leader that sided with the RW too much. Plus John Thune ruined your chances of getting anywhere in the political world. Your done.

Am I right?

Let him jump in and see what he can effect. But I doubt he will get the nomination.

23. If he asks for an Anthrax investigation, maybe I'd vote for him
If someone tries to kill you and you don't care enough about that to get to the bottom of it, you're not fit to be my President.

Sorry, Tom.

25. Even Daschle wouldn't vote for Daschle....
He'll find some reason to back down from supporting his own candidacy. Probably stating that he doesn't think this is the time to divide the country and throw his support behind the Republican candidate.
