Bush says his beliefs unshaken by poor poll numbers
Guess more Americans need to shake harder in order to impeach him for all his illegal beliefs.

Bush says his beliefs unshaken by poor poll numbers

Fri Mar 10, 2006 01:32 PM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Down in public opinion polls, President George W. Bush said on Friday he realizes he has made some unpopular decisions but that it "comes with the territory" and he will stand by his beliefs.

"I know some would like me to change, but you can't be a good decision-maker if you're trying to please people. You've got to stand on what you believe, that's what you've got to do, if you're going to make decisions that are solid and sound," he said.

During a question-and-answer session with a national newspaper group, Bush became his most animated when talking about the way he handles his job.

A year into his second term, Bush is beset with a job approval rating below 40 percent, with Americans disapproving of his handling of the Iraq war and the U.S. economy.

13. Absolutely
What a LEADER does is "take the temperature" of the people and act accordingly; what a RULER does is just make his own mind up and to hell with his subjects ... This jackass has GOT to go....

6. "make decisions that are solid and sound"
he has never made a decision tougher than what club to use.

his "decisions" for his whole life have been so unsound that it is laughable.

7. A fool is as a fool does...
They go hand in hand. George Bush is a fool.

Of course, we know he doesn't give a crap about America or the American people, anyway. He used to pretend he did, now he doesn't even bother with that so much anymore. We need a change in the White House. And we can't wait until 2008 for it to happen.

9. Since when has he been a 'good decision-maker'? Idiot, you're
a BAD decision maker, therefore, the American people are trying to tell you to stop making BAD decisions.

Here's a little tidbit I found somewhere on CNN.

Now, the lowest numbers by themselves don't mean a whole hell of a lot, since some of these guys pulled themselves up. But, notice how many couldn't.

Truman: 22% mid-February, 1952

-Eisenhower: 49% mid-July, 1960

-Kennedy: 56% mid-September, 1963

-Johnson: 35% early August, 1968

-Nixon: 24% mid-July, 1974, and early August, 1974

-Ford: 37% early January, 1975, and late March, 1975

-Carter: 28% late June, 1979

-Reagan: 35% late January, 1983

-George H.W. Bush: 29% late July, 1992

-Clinton: 37% early June, 1993

-George W. Bush: 37%* mid-November, 2005

* to date

12. "Bush became his most animated..."
Shades of going "Mano a Mano" with Poppy when he was called out on his bad behavior years ago. Still the one thing that gets his blood moving. :freak:

I mean, besides the one to ruin the country?

Harriet Myers? The DPW ports deal? Ahmad Chalabi? Jack Abramoff?
