Prediction: Republican Ticket for 2008 George Allen and Condi Rice
Bank on it. McCain won't make it through the SC primary. Allen will have the fundies all sewn up, and that will give him the advantage. He'll run a strong conservative primary campaign, complete with visiting Bob Jones University in SC. He'll take a strong stance against immigration, which will propel him over the top.

Then, to moderate, he will name Condi Rice as his VP choice.

2. We can always hope. I think Allen will crash and burn on the national
stage. He won't be able to hide his arrogance and his mean spiritedness for a whole national election cycle.

3. George Allen would never choose Condi as
VP. A black woman? No way. Repukes are never going to put a black person of either gender on a national ticket. It wouldn't increase their already negligible black vote and it would turn off a significant portion of their base.

Besides, George Allen is as racist as they come. He's got racial skeletons going back decades. Bet Condi has never heard about the racist graffiti he spraypainted on the walls of his high school. Hoping that if he runs, it becomes common knowledge.

4. Being A Racist Will Help Allen in Southern Repub Primaries
Then he will claim youthful indiscretion, and by choosing an African American woman, he will be excused.

5. "Youthful indiscretion" I could see
if he was 12 at the time. Fact is, he was a high school senior, UCLA bound, varsity QB on the hs team, and his dad was a prominent NFL coach. He clearly should have known better than to commit a racist act of vandalism. He has owned up to it, though tries to call it a schoolboy prank. Uh, no.

Southern voters would vote for Allen even if he didn't have any racial baggage. They think he's a Christian - another big lie.

Condi would be a fool to run with him. It would be very demeaning for her to have to explain why she was running with a guy who kept a noose in his law office, never mind the high school stuff.

7. Please! Some of us are eating!
Allen is someone I sincerely detest.

Seriously, though, I'm not comfortable with speaking with certainty about what's going to happen the year after next. There's a lot that could happen between now and then...

8. Republicans will NEVER put a black women on their ticket. No matter how
Edited on Wed Mar-08-06 03:29 PM by LaPera
much bullshit you read about it...Republicans actually putting a black person on their presidential ticket is absurd...the republican base is macho, racist white men who hate minorities and don't think of women as equals...There is no fucking way Rice will be on the ticket!!!

The shit you read about is for gullible fools who want to believe the Hillary, Rice shootout..Its all bullshit!

By the way to prove the point...your actually calling Rice, this far right-wing, BushCo, neocon fascist a "moderate"...

Share what you've been smoking!!!
