OMG! Have you all seen this?
Its a video promo of some video game called "Shattered Union". Even if you're like me and not into video games, I think this video will trip you out.

Here's a link: http://movies.teamxbox.com/xbox/shatteredunion/shatteredunion_trailer.wmv

1. OK, I'm at a loss for words
but scary & messed up come to mind.
Why is it that everything comes back to war even though it is framed as a building of democracy or a return to democracy? :nuke: :grr:

4. well, I guess a filibuster don't make good video games
whereas shooting a tank does.

Is this out already, or did they scrap the concept?

9. I see your "Holy Shit" and raise you a "Daaaaaamnnnnn!"
combine that with the trailer for "V is for Vendetta" and we got ourselves a pretty powerful social cue from - none other than video games and comics. Who'da thunk it would come from them?

3. Disturbing isn't it
When I first saw this I was a bit shocked. Then I thought of how video games like this are kind of an exaggerated expression of the times -- then I was more disturbed.

8. Interesting
I have played video games since Atari Pong came out (dates me a bit) and I think they are a wonderful release if appropriate and used correctly.
I enjoy the war games especially, helps channel some aggression. I currently play BF2 (Battlefield 2). It is quite scary in it's premise. It's byline is called "modern warfare" so where the earlier BF series dealt with historic wars and conflicts such as WW2 and Vietnam, the current game is based upon a modern times with the scenario being essentially oil and resources war with China and the Middle East know as the MEC or Middle East Coalition. The video battles take place at real locations in both China and the ME.

I can't help but wonder if this is being used as a training tool and preparation for a possible future. Scary shit if you ask me.
