Two Million for Roe: Join the Roe Call Now
http://www.ppaction.org/campaign/roberts_roeCall/

Do you support Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide?

If you're like most Americans, your answer is a resounding yes. But with ultraconservative abortion foes John Roberts and Samuel Alito now on the Supreme Court, Roe is in real peril. Join us in urging the Supreme Court to uphold constitutional protections for women's health and reproductive rights.

Sign the Planned Parenthood "Two Million for Roe" petition today and be listed among millions on our "Roe Call."

Full Petition Text:
We, the undersigned, affirm our support for Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that saved women's lives across the nation. Decisions about childbearing should be made by a woman, in consultation with her family and doctor, not by the government. We urge the Senate to defend the protections for women's health guaranteed by the U.S. Supreme Court in Roe by confirming only nominees who will uphold these constitutional protections.

Thanks for posting....side note, I started a new job where the woman who is training me is a major right winger with three daughters - against abortion, doesn't think that farming jobs overseas is a bad thing....Okay, so one of her daughters gets raped (would never wish that one anyone but for arguments sake) and has no choice to carry the resulting pregnancy to term and doesn't give up the baby for adoption because she contracted aids with the initial crime and is having a helluva time finding a job because they have all been farmed overseas ...my question to her would be - are you will to pay through higher taxes (paying for federal assistance) due to all of the unexpected/unwanted children that are born? Any good republican wouldn't... :sarcasm:

6. There's this sweet guy at work. He and I talk politics outside

of the office. He voted for Gore and Kerry; his wife, for Bush both times. His wife is very sickly, got laid off when she couldn't go back to work. The COBRA ran out and he can't afford to have himself, his wife and his kid on the insurance from his job. His wife won't qualify for Medicare until July. It's so bad, he has to send his wife back to the Phillippines where they're originally from so she can stay with relatives until Medicare kicks in. Why did she vote against her self-interest? ABORTION. They're Catholics, and she couldn't vote for a candidate who supported abortion (he, on the other hand, sees things a bit differently). Two words: KKKARL Rove.

7. My reply to that has always
been - If you don't believe in abortion - Just don't have one! Choice - it's a wonderful thing.

"If you don't believe in murder, just don't commit one."

Abortion, like murder, is the taking of a human life.

5. Done. There is also a letter to Target on the site...
regarding a Target pharmacist who refused to fill a woman's prescription for emergency contraception.

Does that pharmacist realize that he/she could actually be causing an abortion by refusing contraception?!? What a moron.
