4. Weekend closest to Valentine's Day- was she on her own romantic getaway?

Even if she didn't want to hunt quail, why wasn't she at the same "ranch" for the weekend?
And if the VP is so gosh darned upset about the whole experience, why isn't wifey at his side showing she stands by her man despite the rumors of his affair with his hunting companion? Gosh, these family value Republicans sure are great role models for the kiddies, aren't they?

8. the press is doing exactly what these people want

The people are so savvy they know exactly what they are doing.

They knew that by delaying the story the press focus on that. Not the fact that Dick and Whit were hunting with GIRLS. On Valentine's Day weekend. In an early article, Armstrong said that Whit was her friend, and that she was not sure he even knew Dick. Now, granted, she has peppered the press with so many contradictions, so that has to be taken with a grain of salt.

9. Lynne was probably busy writing. I've heard Mrs Cheney

doesn't write novels anymore. It's been said she writes documentaries these days.

Great writers like Lynee have said, "people like reading the truth and not just made up stories such as novels."

Cheney (Mr.) is in bigger trouble from Cheney (Mrs.) than anything the press can hand him. I still bet Miss Swiss did the accidental shooting and Cheney is covering for her. She probably said, "The next bird is mine!" and Cheney misunderstood what "bird" she was referring to.

She needs to have a really great figure, and look really good naked. We need to ship her and Dick off on a... a... er... a hunting trip, to a lonely cabin in, say, Texas or Wyoming.

That'd finish the sucker off for once and for all.

11. The always outspoken L. Cheney is LOUDLY QUIET.

If Dick weren't misbehavin', she'd have been at the Corpus Hospital praying for Dick's shotgun blast victim. At the least she'd have picked an especially supportive member of the press (Oh, there are so many enablers/reporters. Where to start the list?) to reveal how Dick is so pained.

But the fact she's not in the public eye tells us and the media if they were interested much about this story.

However, after this 4 day cooling off period, she'll get her script from Carl or Mary and soon be back in the public eye.
