1. I just read the ex. order, and it looks to me like
classfied info can be declassified by the Pres, VP, or the person who originated the classification. However, doesn't it at least sound like if someone other than the originator wants to declassify info, they are to clear it with the originator?

I HATE reading through the kind of crap that keeps referencing things like "the above paragraph, and section XXX of this document" but that's my understanding of the meaning in this ex order.

2. But it also says when the VP is performing executive duties. When does
he actually do that? When the President is incapacitated right but only then?

3. "executive duties" sounds like one of those nonspecific statements
that's up for interpretation. I mean, the VP is the "Executive" of the Senate, so he performs executive duties there, and who knows where else?

4. Yea, that's what confusing me, because as you point out that phrase
could mean or even be bent to mean any fucking thing they want it to. However, as far as the consitutition goes I don't think the VP performs ex duties unless the serving or acting as the president.

5. Well, it might get defined in the Libby trial.
It sounds like Cheney is planning on using that as his excuse for being OK giving the Plame info to Libby!
