Is it a black and/or white thing? Why do Blacks have bigger balls
when it comes to politics --- The reverend calling * a sham to his face at the funeral today and I remember Sharpton in one of the 2004 debates saying, HELL YES BUSH LIED re the war...etc. I just love their courage, they tell it like it is all the time. And of course, we can't ever forget MLK!!!

Conyers is another and a local Congressman Alcee L. Hastings from Florida. I love it when these people talk.

Why are black politicians more courageous?

themselves, no one else is going to do it. They see all us Democratic Party white folks spinning our wheels, abdicating our responsibility to, and colluding with the white Republican folks who are doing them the most damage. We have become an impotent force in their lives and they are simply stepping over us as we lay wimpering on the ground, or hiding under our chairs so the big, bad Bushies won't hurt us.

Bush lied to them, God knows. The Republicans have done them nothing but harm, to be sure. But the Democratic Party has also broken many promises, and just plain hung them out to dry year after year after year. The only reason they are still in this Party at all is because where are they going to go? God help this Party if they continue to win their own fights and decide they don't need the likes of the DINO's we keep electing, the wimps who sacrifice their welfare on the altar of bi-partisanship anymore. This Party will be dead they day they walk away for good. We owe it to them to at least get up a fight alongside them to make up for the broken promises and all the wrongs we allowed to happen to them.

9. And look at the Haitians: Mess with their elections and they get ANGRY!
PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti, Feb. 7 -- Angry crowds surged into cramped voting precincts in some of this city's poorest neighborhoods Tuesday, tussling with overwhelmed security guards and screaming their frustrations about long lines and delayed openings.
Cotninued...

Compare that to Amerika's "elections"....

16. Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose.
Besides, try living in a society where people smile to your face and say, "You're one of us" but behind your back plot to kill you and your family. This will definitely heighten your sense of what's real and what's not. It's easier living in a place where you're openly despised because at least you always know where you stand.

19. The Congressional Black Caucus has more spine than the rest of Congress
put together. I'll never forget watching the members of the CBC trying to get the Senate to look into the fraudulent 2000 election in Florida. One by one they approached the Senate and tried to get them to do something about that election. The biggest mistake Al Gore ever made was asking the senators to not stand with them. Because of this thousands of voters were disenfranchised and basically told they didn't matter.

The CBC are the go-to people in the Congress -- they are actively trying to do SOMETHING to stop this administration from shitting on our civil rights.

I have a huge amount of respect for these folks. "Balls" indeed.

20. It doesn't hurt either that almost all at the Congressional
members who are African American are in safe minority majority, heavily Democratic districts where there is no Republican opposition at all. The only opposition they will ever possibly face will be in a primary election.

23. Isn't it obvious? Blacks have always had to FIGHT HARD risking life/limb
Where as people like our priviledged Senators, haven't a clue as to what it means to have had to fight for a fucking thing they have.

Not in terms of risking life and limb, in terms of ever having been unjustly persecuted and prosecuted and so on.

25. What are you talking about,
Al Gore's are so big, he has to buy them an extra ticket on flights, can't even fit them in to the over head compartment. But what's even better is the size of his brain.

26. Less to lose, they have the support of their constituents and no real
hope of progressing beyond the offices they have. Besides, as another reply points out, what the hell are they gonna do about it? Treat them like second class players? How would they be able to tell?

I'm just being blunt, folks.

In reality, white folks have just as much to lose in this world gone bad, but I'm talking about the perceptions that are held.
