Are the record companies deliberately avoiding political music promo?
I've really expected a Bob Dylan or such to come along over the last few years. Why are they still promoting "Five for Fighting" look a likes when the country longs for protest songs?

1. Same Reason The News Always Reports What Rove Wants. Same Companies.
The same companies that own all the news media make nearly all of the CDs.

2. Great Minds...Last night I wondered were the songs about the Iraq war...
and the struggles of a lot of people are. *I know RAP but 85% of the public doesn't listen to rap.) I haven't even heard a lot of new Patriotic songs. I thought that the internet would be able to break through but I guess not.
