He hasn't learned, he hasn't changed. He wants to make his "Tax Eliminations" for the Wealthy even bigger and more permanent. He still wants to destroy the Social Security program (one of the few things the government even begins to get right--with all it's flaws, and I don't mean the so-called problems Bushling does, I mean that it's too limited and too stingy, but that would be hard to fix and we should be grateful for any insurance between ourselves and homelessness). He's still bent on conquest, and so on.
But ol' Rove's a clever one. He steals one of the Democrat's "non-ideas", that of energy independence and claims it as his own, all the while knowing that it's a sure bet that none of his fellow Republican elected criminals would even consider actually implementing such a thing. Secretly, he himself would be the first to try every conceivable trick to sabotage such an effort if it ever were picked up as 'real' policy--after all, that might tend to cut into the obscene profits being made by the oil companies. They'd have a hard time making $10 Billion dollars a year (that was the recent record profits by... I think it was Exxon/Mobil--10 with a capital B, -illion) in PROFITs if people had economical energy saving alternatives. So, now the Democrats will be the ones made out to be copycats if they mention alternative energy. It's just so absurd that it would work that way.
Somehow, though, despite everything, I don't thing Shrub has really convinced anyone that he's a "deep thinker", but then again, that's just how they like to think of him--as an accessible, human, good-ol boy. Few things could be further from the truth, but then again, that's in the realm of "Reality"--a place that few Republicans have any familiarity with.
