2. Dean supporter
that has received 2 anti Kerry for every 1 Pro Dean email.
It is sad.
I keep writing info@deanforamerica.com saying (in the subject line) attacking Kerry does not help Dean.

10. worse still, I love Kerry
but think that Clark / Gephardt would be our best bet to beat Bush... And they are my least favorite (even less then the Mighty Joe).

I want Bush our more than I want to support Kucinich, or an anti war candidate, or a liberal.

4. Somewhat, but it comes with the territory of winning
The more ridiculous stuff can even be amusing, in a National Enquirer kind of way.

And anyway, I can understand the frustration and passion that those who support other candidates feel, as they see the nomination slipping away from their guy.

38. That's why I voted "other" although ...
... I did complain to Skinner 10 days or so ago about the repeated posting and re-posting of material from an extremist site intended to demonstrate that Kerry was a war criminal.

As long as DUers keep a Las Vegas-style "what happens here stays here" attitude, the attacks don't bother me, even as a longtome committed Kerryon.

11. No.
Some people have thier own reasons for disliking Kerry. Let them speak thier mind.

If Kerry cant survive the fact that some people in his own party dont like him, then how is he going to survive whatever the other party will do to him?

I personally hope Kerry doesnt survive whatever our party does to him, I believe we have better candidates out there than him.

14. Please, are you so surprised that Kerry is now the target?
Just how naive are you? Did you really think that all the attacks on Dean were justified and that somehow other Democratic candidates like Kerry would somehow duck the slings and arrows from the corporate media and their masters because they were so noble and better than Dean?

And we wonder why we keep losing against Bush...

27. How badly do I read? Ah, ha ha ha ha ha!
Edited on Sat Jan-31-04 07:11 PM by deutsey
Oh, I've been reading quite well lately, thank you.

I've been reading all the Democratic/GOP/corporate media attacks against Dean, that is.

Now Kerry supporters are crying because the Big Bad Media are also attacking you?

Sorry, but despite my sympathy for the fact that another Democratic hopeful is in the cross hairs, do you really expect me to boohoo with a campaign that sunk daggers into the back of the candidate I supported?

I'll vote for your guy if he gets the nomination, don't get me wrong. What puzzles me is how Kerry supporters are now shocked, shocked that the corporate media are now turning on Kerry since he gained frontrunnner status.

Today on NPR Kerry said, ""We're going to build the greatest grassroots campaign this country has every seen."

Word for word...

Isn't that a hoot?

I have posted this on other threads.
And will state it again. After I learned that Kerry had won the Iowa caucus, I actually slept thru the night. It was the one of the first nights I have slept thru since 9/11. And I was an undecided before I learned the results.

Because Kerry won, I had hope again. Hope that an international coalition would be built to fight terror, hope that my kids could grow up without fear. Hope that someone could do something about our astronomical health care costs and poor economy. Hope that my kids would be as happy as I was before Bush took office.

You guys make me feel like an axe murderer. Shame on me for choosing a Democratic nominee who makes me feel safe and gives me hope...

28. I appreciate your sentiments. I felt the same way when
I heard Kerry's foreign policy speech at the CFR, he gave me hope. Foreign policy is one of my most important issues, I'm concerned about the state of the world first. Kerry has the style of a diplomat but the toughness of a fighter.

I just don't have as much faith in any of the other candidates on foreign policy, least of all Dean - he doesn't have a diplomatic bone in his body or if he does, I've never seen it.

29. Have you looked at Kerry's voting record?
I'd give him a D-. He hardly ever bothered to show up. The Republicans are going to skewer him on that. He'd better have some good excuses ready. (Look at some of the other Senators for contrast.)

If the voters of MA. have a problem with him campaigning for president, they'll let him know.

As a MA resident I'm fine with his voting record because I know that he's there when his vote makes a difference. They do vote counts y'know.

it's over the top, but I'm not letting it get to me. It's really only a little more intense than it was in the summer.
There is a massive troll invasion on the Kerry blog, though -- but it just looks like a sign of desperation in the other campaigns.

22. (Other) Not at all. I'm loving it!!
Bringing up IWR worked so well in IA and NH where Kerry got more antiwar votes than any of the other Dems. Besides, most Dem voters want a Dem who voted for IWR, so keep on reminding them voters people!

I also like it when they accuse Kerry of cowardice for cutting his tour in VN short. It only emphasize his heroism. Keep up the good work!

And I like it when they mention Skull and Bones because it reminds the conspiracists that Kerry knows their methods.

I also find it somewhat amusing that some posters are spending their time taking cheap shots at Kerry instead of posting something positive about their candidate. Plus just saw on cable news Kerry is the projected winner of all the states on Tuesday except SC which the commentators are saying will be close between Kerry and Edwards.

43. No, I expected it
I actually didn't quite anticipate the level of hatred and vitriol possible in a Dem forum, but I expected that as Kerry started to surge, there was going to be quite a bit of animosity shown for him.

The lowest of the low was a comment on a blog where a participant, in acknowledging that the Fire Fighters (IAFF) had supported John Kerry, commented "Go Fire!"

It's embarassing, frankly.
