Lieberman to leave race February 3rd?
Sneed is told Sen. Joseph Lieberman plans to pull the plug on his presidential campaign on Feb. 3, which is the day he gets federal matching funds from the FEC in order to pay off his campaign debt.

His message does not really appeal to anyone except the Zell Miller type Dems.

8. does he not get matching funds if he drops out earlier?
does anyone know the rules concerning this ? if they drop out before the date they are to recieve the matching funds does it disqualify them from recieving that money ?

10. From what I have heard
Joe is staying in until the 3rd so that he can get the funds...If he were to drop earlier, he wouldn't get them. I cannot verify if that is indeed the case though.

13. Good Lord, no.
I hope he doesn't. Clark will likely naturally pick up Lieberman's supporters without Lieberman formally endorsing.

14. I don't think Clark is
conservative enough. I believe he will just wait and support the eventual ticket...from a distance.
