We will make this happen live, during the broadcast.

Exact date yet to be announced.

We will protest the Today Show, LIVE during their broadcast! This was inevitable. It was bound to happen sooner or later, with NBC serving propaganda every day.

I've already spoken to my influential bike messenger buddy Mike about this. He's well connected within Critical Mass. This WILL happen.

Here is a list of the reasons why:

Chris Matthews shat on Michael Moore
Tim Russert shat on Arianna Huffington
Katie Couric shat on Howard Dean
Matt Lauer shat on Michael Moore

Even fat, jolly weatherman, Al Roker waved and cried out like a schoolgirl to Bush during his inaugural parade.

Not one of them has not offended us with their Bush-boot-licking ways!

If NBC has to turn the area around Rockafeller Center into a secured zone, we've already accomplished a lot. They'll make their studio audiences paranoid with all the security and profiling them, to make sure they're not a subversive. Let them make it like the "Green Zone" for all I care.

please let us know the date ahead of time - I stopped watching the Today Show a long time ago couldn't take it anymore. If they still have the concert things outside you might want to pick that day because Matt and or Katie would be foreced to go outside - although I guess Al goes outside regularly....like I said haven't watched in a long time

And it is so sad really Katie's sister was such a well respected Dem in VA - Katie's actions with Dean was such a dishonor to Emily's memory.

I think you'd be far better off to protest for specific reasons, not just that they seem to treat our people poorly.

For example, the "shatting" upon Michael Moore -- comparing him to Osama bin Laden -- was outrageous and not appropriate in a democracy.

The refusal to believe Howard Dean, and prior to that the refusal to do their own homework instead of taking RNC talking points, AND the refusal to apologize for it...

Get my drift? Personality conflicts and such (which is what your description sounds like) don't cut it. Bad journalism and unnecessarily divisive and inflammatory rhetoric, etc., are GOOD reasons for a well-deserved and needed protest AND perhaps boycott too.

Remember Janet Jackson...Well now everything is on delay , If they smell trouble, they'll cancel out the segment, or just the individual protesters. If there is too many at once they'll switch to stock footage(remember the Macy's parade?) or to a cooking segment or try to sell some sort of Hollywood product.

The morning shows' main purpose for existence nowadays is to sell Hollywood product, interjecting repug slant is secondary but strategic throughout the show. And that applies to all the big three.

Shielding the sheeple from the truth is a full time business and they have contingency upon contingency in this infowar.

Why on earth would you want to talk this down?

If the Today Show manages to keep all dissent invisible in their live broadcast, we can publish photos and video on the web.

The point is, The Today Show is a chink in their armor, like the comments they briefly enabled on the WaPo blog. The opinion makers of NBC leverage the credibility of the public square by mingling and interacting with a bunch of regular Americans. We have to make our presence seen and heard there and cut them off from their false claim of representing the public.

We will not be able to lay our hopes and expectations on any one group to pull this off, except ourselves.

Critical Mass has no central organization, so if they choose to put it on their bike route, great. If not, it's because the project needs a higher profile to get them individually hyped about it.

Individuals can always get into the Today Show morning audience at Rockafeller Center. The main thing is to get as many people as possible hyped on this, then it will most certainly happen. Remember to vote for this thread to keep it among the greatest posts.

Also, I'll begin accepting donations for printing flyers for this very soon. I'm working on the flyer currently.
